  1. By golly!!! we have some traps on styrofoam floats just for setting around docked boats/marinas
  2. Seems like that or the wire trick posted above oughta do it. I wonder if you could even just twist it closed with pliers (never tried, I’m guessing they are too brittle)
  3. Welcome all the way from……. Knoxville also
  4. The wind has been howling! I’m hoping it lays down this weekend
  5. Was that you fishing the crankbait in that movie??? ?
  6. When I was 8 years old my fishing rod and bag of bread for bait was on my grandparents swing. I grabbed it not knowing there was a hornet nest underneath. They stung me around my ankles 9-10 times, but I wasn’t going to miss a fishing trip. My cousin took me way back into the middle of nowhere wade/bank fishing. After a while, I kept getting more and more itchy. I said there must be a mosquito in my shirt, and my cousin said well take it off and let it fly out. When I took my shirt of, he sounded a little hasty and said let’s go right now……… (He saw hives all over my skin when I took my shirt off but didn’t tell me) So we walk and walk and walk, I look down at my ankles and they are spilling over the edges of my tennis shoes. They were massively swollen where the hornets got me. My cousin instructs me to walk in the cold water on the way, which I did for a while. At some point he threw me onto his back and carried me the rest of the way out of a deep valley back to the truck. When we arrived back at the grandparents they took me into the hospital where I puked and fainted. turns out I’m allergic to hornets
  7. Yeah, I figured I would only get my wires crossed looking them up online. Braid slips every time I try blood knot so I use Albright
  8. Is a uni-uni the same as a blood knot? Two opposing clinch knots?
  9. I caught a probable PB the other day and tore the boat apart looking for scale while the fish was in the livewell. After about 10 minutes of searching, I gave up and didn’t want to fish to be in the box any longer so I let it go. Of course when I got home, I found the scale right where I was looking the whole time
  10. I was looking at batteries in Walmart today and stroll through the fishing section. Ozark trail was well represented
  11. No exact science to that. The fish probably ate the tube and spit it out twelve times while you were picking out the backlash , the line came tight when it was on the edge of his mouth. Your guess is as good as any it is well documented a bass can inhale and exhale a crankbait full of trebles during a constant reeling retrieve without the angler ever knowing he had a strike
  12. Sibling rivalry
  13. So far , no deaths or missing persons reported. The fire is 5% contained, about 1,000 acres in size. It has burned 3700 acres, damaged 5 fire trucks. Over 100 structures were burned
  14. I’ve seen Carolina skiffs running the Atlantic Ocean many times
  15. Dead sticking a tube is a great way to catch smallmouth
  16. I like it so far! I have the 6 lb, It’s quite thin. I’ve caught several fish with it already, mostly with jighead/soft plastic combo on spinning back in the day I tried spinning with fluoro and it was crazy coily, I haven’t experienced that at all with the basix
  17. Should have went to college rules
  18. There’s a wildlife loose in wear’s valley, they are evacuating and setting up a shelter in pigeon forge
  19. It’s good for any purpose, the others a bit more specific
  20. All 3. If you must have just one, go with mono
  21. Mother Nature: undefeated champion it’s supposed to be 83 degrees here today, they closed the roads for wind (trees) and fire risk
