  1. Always. But luckily I don’t have to help customers with bugs, just swat them out of my way while dealing with vertebrates hahaha what was really crazy was a time or two in the early spring we were vacuuming bat guano out of an attic and thousands of lady bugs were hibernating in the poo
  2. More vent repair, had to get a little creative with the ladder pivot and the “level legs” ladder
  3. Doggone slow work day contributed to the bait monkey hitting me up for $35
  4. There’s a good bit of incorrect species labeling in the commercial fishing industry. There’s even a pretty excellent book that touches on the subject when it comes to European sea bass I got some frozen walleye from the grocery store in Michigan that said it was from Canada (because the fresh walleye across the street was outrageously priced). Who knows what it really was but it sort of resembled the shape of a walleye anyhow haha
  5. Yeah I’d probably need to dull all your hooks the night before the tourney
  6. No but only because I’ve got other options to fish from when it’s cold. If I only had a kayak I might consider it but I can scratch the itch other ways
  7. Matty Wong just qualified for the classic and elite series in a 30 year old boat with graphs almost 30 years old. I would imagine he beat out a few hundred livescopers
  8. Sounds great, now I want a longneck in a smoked out honky tonk……..
  9. The in-laws were sending me snow pics from Toledo and hamler yesterday If the water is below 55 degrees I don’t paddle very far from dry land. Bank fishing below dams or big boats are much more comfortable in winter welcome to Appalachia weather, this ain’t Hilton head anymore haha. A garage is where you take your car to be worked on (although I am lucky to have a carport). The old timers always put a sheet over their cars before dark
  10. My buddy got some video of my 4600c in action yesterday
  11. Wow! One heck of a day
  12. Water was rolling fast today, got an 18” smallmouth and 17” largemouth with a jig, and caught a beautiful sunset
  13. Not too many people fish where I do. I’m on arguably the worst fishing of the entire 652 miles of TN river haha wake boarding and driving ocean liners is pretty popular though
  14. My fishing buddies are musicians and sound techs, I get to hear a lot of cool stories. Two of them have toured with Stapleton and recorded with Tyler Childers. We went to see my buddy Josh play Wednesday night at Tennessee theater with his band Watchhouse, formerly known as mandolin orange. It was a great show!!! He usually plays electric and acoustic guitar but they always let him sing one or two songs, like this: (you might recognize him from a few fish in the “latest catch pics thread”) And here’s another I got some footage of
  15. Yes that was it, my bad. I use the clear liquid
  16. I could eat all of that !!!
  17. I’ve always been able to kill them inside with Torro. Outside I don’t think there’s hope. Luckily I don’t deal with insects at work
  18. That reel of mine I would imagine is from the 90s or 80s. When it comes to vintage equipment, @bulldog1935 is the man to talk to
  19. Rattle traps, burn them as shallow as you can . The shad are typically going to be soaking up the sun in shallow mud flats that time of year. Weather dependent of course but is crazy how well people do kicking up mud in the winter
  20. If they do a freshwater drum tournament I will be a force, most likely champion
  21. Found some more wasted tackle in my boat
  22. My boss started it in ‘89 when that movie was big
