  1. I’m hoping typing this out will help others and maybe myself sometime down the road. I’ve had some power trim issues for a year or two (or maybe more?). The problem is always intermittent and always that the motor will go down but not up. One night I had launched about 6-8 miles from home and the motor wouldn’t lift. I made it home but couldn’t back up into my driveway. The plastic nut to let the pressure off the hydraulic motor was stripped out so we were back to the drawing board. There are 3 relays in a vertical arrangement under the cowling, let’s call the top one #1, middle #2, and bottom #3. I switched relay 1 and 2 and magically the trim would go up and down. But when I took it to the lake it was alarming and wouldn’t start when I turned the key. I Switched them back to original position and everything worked normally. That was maybe a year ago, I’ve had a few minimal issues with it not lifting up since but it always worked if you toggled the switch enough times. Well tonight when I got off the water it wouldn’t lift up again. I couldn’t get up into the driveway so I switched relay 1 and 2 and viola , trim works both ways. But I remembered the alarming from last time so I turned the key to on position and sure enough it was alarming again. I have a replacement relay that a fishing buddy got me while back, figured I would try it out. I tried replacing #1 with the new one and no change. Tried replacing #2 and everything works normally, but I haven’t taken it to the water yet (doesn’t alarm with key in the on position). Hopefully this means relay #2 was bad all along and that #1 is “down,” #2 is “up,” and #3 remains a mystery

  6. What lure do I struggle with? All the ones that aren’t soft plastic
  7. That all depends on what you’re after and how much you use it. The green ones you can get at hardware stores are great for a homeowner using it 2-3 times a year. If you are trapping daily they will eventually get destroyed, especially by raccoons and/or groundhogs . We have a massive collection of broken traps. Tomahawk is my favorite brand, safeguard a close second durability would be my most important factor, maybe set the trap and spring it a few times before purchasing, see if you like how it fires off. Also the solid metal doors on cage traps like havahart don’t last long, usually the first raccoon destroys it
  8. Probably because the rightful owner of the television was chasing them with a baseball bat

  18. I’ve done it fresh and salt, dead and alive. It’s not pork or chicken! I’ve also never kayaked without ice. If the gills start turning a light pink color it’s time to ice them down. Fish lay in open air markets all day, sometimes not so cold. Dragging behind a kayak will keep them pretty fresh even in warm water, maybe not 90 degree water but that doesn’t exist near me
  19. about the same price as a bag of ice and re USABLE
  20. This one is easy for me, 6 on spinning, 12 on baitcasting. 20 on a flipping stick. All eagle claw
