Info & Foot-Pedal Needed For Old Minn Kota
I had the motor guide version and the plastic gears that turn the head always wore out. I believe minn kotas was far better, can’t help with model of remotes though there’s a fella I know that does trolling motor repair for a living and he’s the best around, he can tell you anything you need to know and has all the parts available or can order them. His name is Rick swafford and his business is called swafford trolling motor

Guess I Need to get the A-Rig Out
I feel so stupid throwing that rig I just quit. Might as well just drag downriggers with the gas motor

Any interest in trapping?
I would think a lot! I haven’t ever seen one so I can’t say for sure but some nice coyote and bobcat get over $100. I would imagine one without too bad of a bullet hole would be more like $500

Hot West Texas Lake
This one was built in 1990, they are all awesome for the first few decades until everything balances back to normal. Fork was built in 87, not sure on falcon. All of ours were built by TVA way back when and their initial boom of big fish was “back in the day.” Now they all go through cycles of good and bad. Rod and reel angling seems to have little effect on bass populations in reservoirs, although you are correct in saying no two are exactly the same. It just makes bass smarter! I would venture that there’s a bigger problem at falcon than angling pressure. You should see the pressure at chickamauga, it’s unbelievable. Probably looks like Ivie currently does 365 days a year

You underestimate mister bass. If they ain’t killed guntersville or fork yet, it’s literally impossible

Ever Shiner / slip-bobber fish for Bass?
No sir, he’s addicted worse than any of us

Trick worm vs finesse worm
Difference in trick worm and finesse worm is about 2 inches I believe. I like finesse worm on anything, and trick worm anything ......... I’d start with the 4 inch on the drop shot but they both work anywhere nearly anytime

Ever Shiner / slip-bobber fish for Bass?
You’re always bringing real experience and knowledge to the conversation. It’s like you’ve already tried all this stuff or something.......

Ever Shiner / slip-bobber fish for Bass?
For me it is anything but boring, it’s constant pain in the butt and fishing with artificial is way more relaxing. Shad are always dying whether it’s in a bucket, flying off the hook or getting gobbled up by smaller fish. There are other days where I have to sweat through my clothes just to catch a bucket full of shad. During certain times of year they are just as hard to catch his bass

Elites coming to my backyard again
Haha thanks buddy! I can’t get enough of it when I know where they are all fishing. I’ll be watching pickwick fairly close too. Me like smallies

Ever Shiner / slip-bobber fish for Bass?
I catch and fish with shad all the time, but please no bobber. I hate those things so much. I can catch them well on free line, attach bobber and nothing

Bass bed where?
In our ponds the bed all over the banks but it’s easy to see them. In flowing rivers they always bed up against a log or rock and you can’t see it unless it’s super clear during a drought or something

How to deal with disrespectful, inconsiderate neighbors fishing on a private lake?
My dogs bark at all manner of things, I have to bring them in when they won’t stop. They are dirty but it’s better than them losing their minds barking non stop. I would just bring your dogs in when the guy is fishing hey @N Florida Mike, didn’t you say they were biting good on boat docks??? Just kidding

Always Be Alert!
Yep. They’ve almost killed me at least twice And you went to bed with a full belly! You might have the big bad wolves closer than you know. There’s a reason he makes an appearance in a lot of early literature, I don’t think attacks were uncommon back then

Smallmouth at ice out...
Fish become conditioned to anything, they will still eat the hair n pork. The winner of the elite tournament today said the smallies wouldn’t eat his ned rig, that’s because every body has been dragging them through there for 3-4 years straight. The fish will adapt and overcome anything thrown at them. Don’t throw out your old “non cool” baits, they will cycle back around! Haha

Switching to mono
Lemme hold a dolla!!!! I was pointing out that mono is cheaper monetarily, therefore saving dollars compared to flouro
-
Switching to mono
That’s how I roll. Easy peezy. I can feel 4 inch perch bite, that’s sensitive enough But you’d have more dollars to bet if you made that switch

Inshore recommendations, S.C.
That’s a tough place to fish! I’ve done two weeks on my own and one guide trip, it all pretty much sucked! They say fall is the time to be there when the shrimp come in. Our guide trip was in fall and still sucked, too strong of tide. It’s always something at the ocean

Fantasy Fishing 2021 - Official Thread
I think he would have still came in second and gotten paid the same. But it would have made it more interesting! Cool to see a few guys fish near takeoff, even if it was only for a couple minutes because they made it in early. That’s where I live and fish
