  1. Washed in trees??? Sounds like the entire TN river..... interesting........ thanks for that
  2. Without all my friends I think I would have drowned or burned by now
  3. Special thanks to @galyonj! He came over and worked on my boat wires for several hours and finally diagnosed the issue: my depth finder wire shorts out somewhere along the way. He redid all my connections and everything worked correctly until we hooked up the depth finder, in which case it shorts/grounds out and the ground strap gets hot. So now all I hopefully need to do is replace the wires to the unit and be good to go !
  4. Ha! Yep. Kill or be killed. If they are out of the current, they are on dry land
  5. Hahahahah! I think the picnic boat has a green registration sticker !
  6. From here on it’s easier to use an image posting site
  7. Yes I have insurance, I’ve had a boat stolen and a busted a lower unit, I was covered both times
  8. They do in TN as well. Anything with a motor needs a sticker, electric or gas
  9. Nice!
  10. You’re going to love them
  11. At that point you’re going to need to find a trailer quickly or somewhere to tie your boat up for a day or three
  12. If I never purchased another plastic worm, I would still have too many . I need to use some hand poured floating producto worms 8” that I got years ago
  13. Why have I never seen this 77 rozante hanging in the store?? I might have to try a few different stores edit: Woops. Just did a quick search and I can get them at a few places
  14. Couldn’t hurt, give it a whirl! Just use a heavy sinker that maintains constant bottom contact and use a sweeping hook set to the side
  15. Sinker > bead > barrel swivel (without the snap) > leader > hook . Also if you’ve never caught anything, Carolina rig might not be the best thing to start with. It’s a little odd trying to get used to it at first.
  16. I think Kennedy got some big ones with it too
  17. I like that idea. Can still be defeated but would make a racket and probably cause the thief to give up or choose another poor sap to screw over
  18. I have two different coupler locks I use at home, I like both. One is master lock and one is Reese. They are both kind of like a ball hitch that goes up into the female part of the trailer coupler. I’ve thought about using them at sketchy ramps but you have to unhook from the truck to use them, and I don’t want to leave the trailer sitting there unhooked.
  19. Those snaps are harder for me than a knot haha . They come stock on most blade baits and I can’t squeeze them open
  20. I just have a nut/bolt in my coupler. I’ve never had anything stolen at the ramp but I had a boat with a lock on it stolen from an apartment I used to rent. My local ramp has some pretty good ole boys that watch everything all the time. I leave my spare wheel/tire in the back of my truck even though I shouldn’t. For me it all depends which ramp I’m using. There was a guy on chickamauga that launched and went to park his truck. Someone jumped in his boat while he was parking and drove off! The moron didn’t realize the boat owners phone was still in the boat so they easily tracked him down and arrested him
  21. Alright!
