Crayfish, now I know why
I find crawdads much easier to consume when I have several friends over and a cooler full of ice cold bottles of suds

Living on a Lake
Our previous tenant had a golf cart with mud tires and a 4 wheeler I usually just walk down there with a deep cycle battery in one hand, 5 gallons of gas in the other, and bust my butt rolling on those dry river rocks

Living on a Lake
I’ve got a dock you can tie up to! I don’t think you’ll like it though, the hike is treacherous!!! We’ve had a few people tie up over the years at a discounted rate and I believe they eventually opted for the marina with easy parking and walk after a season or two. Here’s the view from the house down to the water and from the dock back up the hill

Handling mudfish
He probably chewed up your crankbait and pooped it out before you made it home. I’ve grabbed them under the gills but I don’t know if it was a good idea or not, I only fish near them one week out of the year

That water would be considered ultra clear down here- State Record Smallmouth/Largemouth Hybrid Bass Caught, Potential World Record
Yeah, almost all waters have both LM and SM here and they don’t interbreed. Spots and smallies sure do though- Busy night at the mouse traps.

That was my question RIP young man- Smallmouth VS largemouth
Largemouth remind me of snook in Florida. Always looking at lures and even live bait, and not eating them. Extremely wary- Dogwood Tree Watch
We’ve got redbuds and willows blooming so far- Busy night at the mouse traps.
Yeah me too! They have trail camera footage of mountain lions in 2-3 different places in TN now........ game and fish denied their presence for years but now they finally admit it- Busy night at the mouse traps.
Have you ever seen what a bear can do to a car??- Major Boat Fail By A Pro (Aaron Britt)- video back up
I think this was the attempted maneuver- Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
Since white bass were biting I figured I would try some different lures. I have never caught anything with an Umbrella rig (hadn’t tried much) and hadn’t caught anything with my KVD deep jerkbait. Got several with each, then found some on a drop off on my way back to the ramp that would pin a spoon against the bottom , pretty fun The xzone swimbait hooked probably 12 or 13 out of 15 fish I caught with the umbrella rig, i put it on the longest arm. We can only have 3 hooks on it and I felt a lot of fish slam it and not hook up, I guess they hit the curly tail dummy baits - Warm weather but cold fishing
