  1. I’ve tried that! It doesn’t work, the potato cravings are fierce! Especially for us somewhat Irish folk
  2. Go back? Heck I never left
  3. Better retire!! Congrats to her!
  4. I’ll be out there lord willin and the creek don’t rise . And a lot of times I go even though the creek rose
  5. It’s hard to get 9-10k for a 25 year old bass tracker
  6. I find crawdads much easier to consume when I have several friends over and a cooler full of ice cold bottles of suds
  7. Our previous tenant had a golf cart with mud tires and a 4 wheeler I usually just walk down there with a deep cycle battery in one hand, 5 gallons of gas in the other, and bust my butt rolling on those dry river rocks
  8. Captain Kenny always says if he were a fish he would already be on someone’s plate
  9. I’ve got a dock you can tie up to! I don’t think you’ll like it though, the hike is treacherous!!! We’ve had a few people tie up over the years at a discounted rate and I believe they eventually opted for the marina with easy parking and walk after a season or two. Here’s the view from the house down to the water and from the dock back up the hill
  10. He probably chewed up your crankbait and pooped it out before you made it home. I’ve grabbed them under the gills but I don’t know if it was a good idea or not, I only fish near them one week out of the year
  11. I’ve never used one or anything like one
  12. They croak pretty loudly in the snow here, especially the southeastern chorus frogs. here’s a couple pics I snapped yesterday that will give the ice boys a glimmer of hope
  13. They haven’t quite started. Saw some red maples blooming today and of course the pear trees are all white with blooms My mom says she has a service berry in her landscaping but it sure looks like privet to me, I think somebody tricked her! Haha
  14. That water would be considered ultra clear down here
  15. Yeah, almost all waters have both LM and SM here and they don’t interbreed. Spots and smallies sure do though
  16. They said the ones we had travelled the Missouri River valley from out west haha
  17. Largemouth remind me of snook in Florida. Always looking at lures and even live bait, and not eating them. Extremely wary
  18. We’ve got redbuds and willows blooming so far
  19. Yeah me too! They have trail camera footage of mountain lions in 2-3 different places in TN now........ game and fish denied their presence for years but now they finally admit it
  20. Have you ever seen what a bear can do to a car??
  21. I think this was the attempted maneuver
  22. Since white bass were biting I figured I would try some different lures. I have never caught anything with an Umbrella rig (hadn’t tried much) and hadn’t caught anything with my KVD deep jerkbait. Got several with each, then found some on a drop off on my way back to the ramp that would pin a spoon against the bottom , pretty fun The xzone swimbait hooked probably 12 or 13 out of 15 fish I caught with the umbrella rig, i put it on the longest arm. We can only have 3 hooks on it and I felt a lot of fish slam it and not hook up, I guess they hit the curly tail dummy baits
