  1. If it is not on me it is in my bag. NH just passed a law that we do not need a CC permit as the background check at the point of sale is the same as a local chief calling it in I also work in a gun free zone, and administration just uses "don't ask, don't tell" as most want the experienced employees to carry
  2. Just one thing to remember with FC......try not to overlap or twist the line going in the same direction. That is the main reason the Palomar will pop. The SGJ and uni don't have that problem as long as you are using a single strand
  3. White and black for put top waters Add silver and red for poppers
  4. No it is not possible and if the plastic is lasting 5 fish, your are blessed!
  5. LCP 9, but still should have a pocket holster
  6. All the time, especially over grass
  7. It is a great knot and one of the most reliable and easy to tie, which means you are less likely to make a mistake. Any knot if tied properly will be fine. There is a lot out there about the "improved" versions which basically means going through the eye twice and an few extra wraps. With all that said, if you learn the Uni, it is the only knots you will need......for terminal tackle and joining lines. As far as your problem, I believe it could be in the line as your knot is a reliable one.
  8. Simply put.....Buying a boat is easy and if you choose to finance it, it is simple. Some expenses most don't consider Registration Insurance Gas Town vehicle Winter storage Boat accessories, extra props Routine maintenance Repairs after warranty expires Ect...... Value for time on the water, priceless!
  9. Fishing it in windy conditions will make you more proficient. If you don't peg a weight a couple feet up, you can use a heavier hook and do 4 or 5 speed cranks and pause...that will get the nose down a couple feet. Drop the tiip and really slow down the retrieve. Got 10 the other day in 10 MPH wind
  10. You will really like that setup with 10 lb Braid........Both of my spinning setups are set up with 832 as it will sink
  11. All braid in situations that I am not likely to get snagged. Hate loosing half a spool when I could only loose a 5 foot leader
  12. In the very near future, I am going to really have to pay attention to bleeding, but that's another story. This year all trebles gets a net, lip groups and pliars. Also carry small bolt cutters and med kit that includes rubber 3m electric tape. I fish by myself 80% of the time...
  13. @Wurming67.....why a pocket pistol? I ask because all the pistols mentioned are EASILY concealed IWB and won't print like a pocket might and is far faster access. If you are thinking of a jacket carry, that is different.
  14. Soft plastics......green Pumpkin.........black/ blue Flukes....white. Start there
  15. Roger, are you running pink for bass?
  16. Pocket is relative. As soon as you truly go to pocket, distance and accuracy is sacrificed. Additionally, even a pocket weapon should be holster education. The Shield is my everyday carry as the single stack is flat enough to conceal and big enough to be accurate. On a side note, you will find more.380's that a pocketable
  17. Until recently I would have said " any color as long as it is low vis green. Today I am open to adding a high vis yellow for better line watching
  18. I thought the same, and it does prolong the life of the bait. The other benefit is that the weight makes the BPS'S better resemble the original
  19. I tried these last weekend and just ordered some........reviews are mixed, but I think they work great
  20. This is anecdotal.....I often have fishing parties in my boat and folks using the GY usually out perform all others, whether it is Texas or wacky. To use your point, all 4 inch chad would catch the same fish as would the same color crankbaits, ect. I can't get there....if price was the same, what would you buy? Apologies to the OP for a brief hijack.
  21. Absolutely....the rate of fall and movement both contribute to the presentation. While it may not be an issue around spawn, it does on heavy pressured lakes mid Summer. I believe it they were the same price as BPS most would buy the GY.... Regardless, it sounds like you disagree, and that's OK. It's just an opinion formed from MY observation
  22. If you were fishing for money, I doubt folks would choose the BPS version. That said, I use both and have no problem throwing the BPS if I soak them in secret sauce. Wally what some great prices and make it worth the adventure...
