Pontoons and trolling motors
Folks, I have a heavy 24 ft pontoon boat and the Mrs would rather us not be a 2 boat family. Until the grandchildren get older, I have to make due. I am on an open lake and thinking of putting a trolling motor on the bow for the wind- less days and mainly to avoid having to drop an anchor. I see mixed reviews. Any first hand experience would help. Thanks in advance Al

Too Much Tackle
Not a good sport for those with OCD. I have a ton, but truth be told, I could get by with a 1/3 of it. Guest that join me usually get a senko rigged T or W and ALWAYS get fish

Moderate action + braid for treblehooks?
If I don't have a mod action rod when using braid with treble, I loosen up the drag a bit, it isn't perfect but got me thru the Summer

Baitcasters for light braid?
In my neck of the woods few are using more than 15 lb braid on casters. Most are at 10.

BassTracker good starter boat?
Most guys loose money when buying and selling boats....unless you are buying used or on a pro-program....if this isn't the case, try to buy your last boat first. It can hurt up front but saves you money in the long haul. .......Semper-Fi

Right or left handed...
Similar situation here. Can crank both R and Loomis but rod control is much better in the Rain. I too have carpal tunnel issues, so am thinking of splitting the quiver Baits requiring more rod action, real L,,,,,,,surface and swim baits,R

Need a setup for jigs and cranks
Tom I have tried reading my spin casters in both hands and the left feels more natural. Last weekend I was practicing with a RH BC for an hour or so and and it did feel good given the grip is different. My concern is that I feel bites and have better action with my RH, but these wrist are starting to bark.....that said, changing hands felt awkward......

Need a setup for jigs and cranks
Thanks for the input. These days I do spend more one time as I find it cheaper than upgrading later. Now I just need to decide if I want to go with "lefts". A bit of carple tunnel in the right may impact that decision...thanks again, Al

Need a setup for jigs and cranks
Howdy Folks, and apologize in advance for a question that I am sure has been covered in depth. I spend all my time a crystal clear Lake and seldom are in the weeds and seldom go deeper than 25 ft. I have a Med/xF spinning setup for seko's and light bait and a M/H F spinning set up for everything else. Looking for advise on baitcaster set ups for jigs and one for cranks...I should also say that I get killer deals on shim another and Loomis. Thanks for any input, Al
