Carpet on trailer bunks: do you really need it?
I went with these and love them https://www.amazon.com/Ironwood-Pacific-Slide-Trailer-Pads/dp/B002IV6RCO/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlvT8BRDeARIsAACRFiWPKcnupMyhfIoJKGy7Y6eRzV9RW8VJ4v22NDWWohN5HK49CP4qgwYaAnHmEALw_wcB&hvadid=473186847521&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9002321&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14074412671158155408&hvtargid=kwd-308388328500&hydadcr=14259_10023112&keywords=teflon+boat+trailer+kids&qid=1604156103&sr=8-9&tag=googhydr-20

Braid to stretchy leader
I wish I could get there....when I was reborn to this sport I used a ton of braid and am having a hell of a time enjoying FC. Tatsu is ok, but hard to make a full commitment to FC ?

Does anyone else exclusively target smallmouth?
For years catching a LM was an anomaly as my lake is a great SM fishery. That said, many of us have noticed LM in what was predominately SM areas. so......while I target SM, LM can end up in the net. This year it was SM over 95 % of the time

Lowest memory Flouro
Tatsu, but it is expensive. Around the holidays you can often get multi spool discounts

When to shut it down for the year?

GLoomis GLX 844C MBR & 854C JWR
MY NRX 852 gets the call for my lightest BC baits.....Heck, I use it for NECO's

GLoomis GLX 844C MBR & 854C JWR
I have 6 MBR rods ( glx, conquest) and totally love the flex pattern. Truth be told, I could fish them for every technique if I had to. I believe I put more fish in the boat with them.....

First time trying Drop-Shot...third cast..POW!
This has happened to me....Now when I throw it its with a 1/2 ounce weight and 3/0 light wire hook, not in the junk....cylinder weights dont pull as had against hooks like a bell or ball

Bait casting reel for 14 yr old's first combo
I see a Calcutta Conquest 100 in his future?

Vanford Vs. Stradic FL 2500
They are back ordered, but I am....for 2 DS setups?

Vanford Vs. Stradic FL 2500
My vanford 3000xg came in today and it it’s going to be hard not to get a couple more. It just feels great in hand and balances a 7-6 St Croix M , perfectly

First time trying Drop-Shot...third cast..POW!
I really never threw it before this year, and now it is my top producer. Alway have 1 on deck and am following in love with the Bubba shot.

Bait casting reel for 14 yr old's first combo
I would watch the classifieds. You can get more for your money and we are coming up on a great time of year to get good used gear

Tungsten vs lead
For many, lead isn’t an issue due to state laws. I wasn’t happy with the change but am glad now. Falls fast, small size, dense material......all good pluses . ......this lead ban actually started on my lake years ago because dead loons were found with lead in their stomach....

Vanford Vs. Stradic FL 2500
I do like the size and weight of the 2000 for finesse applications. The 3000 is also available in xg which will appeal to many

Anchoring, Does Anyone Still Do It?
I carry a small box anchor for emergencies and times when wind and chop blow me off of spot lock. That said, I have an “all species” boat

Palomar knot breaking
I lost a good one today at the boat on a DS.....I used the palomar and had a break off ....thought I did a good job tying it......Back to the Uni for DS

Update on My Ticker
I am surprised they didnt do the stint while they were in there........That sucks! The good thing is that the stint can usually be placed through the arm or groin. Heck, I had a valve replaced that way. The next good thing is that you feel better almost immediately. You got this!

Calcutta 200B - Can it handle musky fishing?
I have the 100,200 and 300 and I while I find excuses to use my 200, the 300 would get the call in your case
-
Straight Fluoro for a dropshot?
You can always pre-tie your leaders, so you only have one knot to tie. i like braid to FC as I think braid handles line twist better

Wacky hooks
I have gone to the NEKO hooks ( ke Approved) for all Wacky, DS, NEKO rigs. Incredible landing average.
