Improper “form” when I set the hook
Go to a place where you know your going to get 40 bites and swing at everything, doesn't matter. I try to real down to my 4 o'clock and swing to my 10:00, sometimes it's like swinging a golf club including the toe pivot ?

a bad day
Being Canadian, you must have been issued one of those crystal balls that tell you when bad things are going to happen. We don’t have them in the US, so we opt to be prepared for that special occasion ?

Losing Lures on Braided Baitcaster
There is no substitute for a trained thumb and properly spooled line. You should not be digging in with 30 lb if the two are good. On a side note, are you finding it happened more when casting in to the wind? Are you making an occasional long cast after a a bunch fluffy ones?

Weighted hooks effective?

Missed Jig Bites
Again, this is one of those old threads I don’t mind revisiting. This year, my primary bottom contact rods have been MBR style rods with a fast action and braid to FC.......and I swing at everything! And put more in the boat than ever before. while I may be in the minority with this non JWR rod, it works for me.....

Dock fishing and crazy home owners
This happened only once this year as most of my dock time is mid week. In this instance the owner came down and started yell and said they were going to call marine patrol and fish and game. My son was with me and asked if he could help....the home owner replied “ only if your marine patrol. He replied, “Marine patrol is under the department of safe, which is the State Police, then pulled out his badge He I formed him that his father (me) was well within his rights to be here and suggested he stop elevating the situation. I then hen turned the boat and motored to the next dock. While this was histarical , it could have gone sideways real quick and It just isn’t worth it

Issue with Palomar knot and copolymer line.
There are some braids that are more resilient than others, but opting for a uni knot may be the easier solution. The Pitzen, and SanDiego knots are also solid choices...... you could also go braid to FC leader and use the above knots

Tungsten or Not to Tungsten?
Can’t speak to PA, but I know NH, ME and Vt are, that said it is still easier to set the hook on a weighted TRIG bass with a smaller weight

Never Forget ~
As I watched hours of video today, it’s remarkable how many run towards the “bang” vs how many ran away. Kind of makes ya think!

Tungsten or Not to Tungsten?
Lead is illegal, and while not lightly to get caught, it’s a small price to be paid to follow the law. Additionally, when setting the hook, pulling a smaller object through the mouth to ensure a better hookset is easier

Hate PWC's? Well, this might change your mind.
Like anything else, it is the human driving them. I actually have more problems with pontoon idiots. That said my nephew converted his and it is a great set-up that can cover a lot of water. He even uses it for stripers

How long after cold fronts blow in does the bite turn back on?
I agree with @Sam but this summer the Fronts were coming through so often that the bite never fell off here. The other thing I noticed was while the day bite would subside the nights never did. No direct evidence, but believe the night bite is less dependent on highs and lows. Would love to here thoughs on my observation

Do bass exhibit genetic memory?
I will try to find the article and not sure how relavant it is to the OP’s question, but my take away was that fish caught on plastics were likely to re-hit another plastic in about 20 minutes, whaile bass biting a hard bait can be shy for over a day. Will do some digging this afternoon
