Sunline Defier Armilo 11 has treated me very well this year for cranking. This weekend I will be trying it on my jerkbait set up. A little line N lure and your good to go. ....also have some Gamma polyflex on the way for testing and will report back

Earlier this year, I found myself fishing memory in regard to spots and baits. After a couple off days, I decided not to duplicate a spot for a week. This has paid off in spades, as it made me realize how mobile SM really are, and LM less so. This tactic has greatly improved my numbers and forced me to use techniques that are week. Yesterday was popper or drop shot only ......in shallows or on cover within structure I have never fished. We had a great morning in 15 mph winds. I am thankful the experienced guys on the board who helped move me in this direction

If it is possible to stretch the budget, I would do so. IMHO your jig rod should be where your money goes ......and cuts can be made on the “moving” bait side of things The Avid x is where I would start

The trouble with this stuff on forums is that we all read the same news or article and bring our own assumptions and experience to the discussion. Truth be told we don’t know about the timing. If someone is intent on doing you harm you usually have a couple seconds to act/react. Since gas made it to the boat, moving the boat, calling the police and discussing the issue ....takes more than 2 seconds, you loose. Had the outcome been different and the anger killer, would you still think calling the police was the answer? Again, just brining life experience to the discussion and to that End I move on.

Discard it after you cut a long piece off and put in your Med kit, to be used to remove a hook from a fleshy part of a body

I like to fish them like a jerk bait. Also sometimes use a super line hook, nail weigh or swivel to get to the depths I want them at.........that said, the water is still chilly, so I am not super aggressive with them yet

I believe at certain times of the year, it doesn’t matter. Like the above, GP, BB, JB make up the majority of my plastics. Last weekend, my brother came out with and started throwing all my “off color” plastics, weightless wacky and caught the snot out of them. It was clearly the presentation. Mid summer, who knows........but so far this year Orange to purple to PBJ is all working.

My next one is going to be a custom but the the decision for what I want will be easier after using many over the counter rods. It it will be something to launch flukes and senkos
