I snell all single hook applications. I like how snell knots keep the weight from banging against the knot. If something is working for you then you're doing something right.

The bucket battalion is my biggest pet peeve. They take every bass home, legal or not.

My local Walmart's don't carry those hooks. I guess my Walmart sucks

I don't see a use for snap swivels in bass fishing. I think it adds more weak points. One or the other, not both!

I recommend Gamakatsu finesse wide gaps hooks in 2/0 or 3/0 with no weed guard. I would ditch the dingers for some ochos or senkos.

I mostly fish them weightless and nose hooked with a 2/0 or 3/0 Gamakatsu finesse wide gap hook. Sometimes but not often I will t-rig them weightless with a 5/0 offset round bend hook. I have a lot of success with a twitch and pause retrieve. They can also be deadly as a top water bait.

Moderate Action rod would solve everything.

Switch to flouro

I use a Cabela's Tourney Trail casting rod that is 6'6" my/mf for chatter/spinnerbaits. Only $60 bucks with a lifetime warranty.

I am curious as to what brand and model that rod is. That's a pretty beefy spinning rod.

You can use a crankbait rod for jerkbaits which is usually a medium power with moderate action. For walking style baits I would recommend a rod with an extra fast tip. A moderate action rod would make it challenging to walk a bait. I wouldn't recommend having one rod for those 3 purposes.

I know the struggle with finding casting reels when you're a south paw, we just don't have as much to choose from. I'm not sure how many set ups your looking to have but 6'6" won't be long enough for deep cranking. Most deep diving crankbaits are around 1oz and u will need a strong enough and long enough rod to increase casting distance to get to those deep depths. The 6'6" duckett rod u mentioned should be fine for shallow cranking. I would recommend the Fritts perfect crank speed stik by lews in either 7'6" or 7'11". The reel with the 5.4.1 hear ratio would be better suited for deep cranking and the reel with the 6.4.1 gear ratio would go better for shallow cranking.

Wow lol. What size line where you using?

My max on rods is $150 and I won't buy a rod unless it has a 5 year warranty or more. The cheapest I will go is an ugly stik and I have shut my door on it plenty of times

Get a St Croix Mojo Bass or Bass X rod that medium powered with a fast or X fast tip. Gander is going out of business so there may be a deal. Don't get anythinb Gander Mountain brand because there will be no warranty on the item.

Twist the hook and pull out

I would highly suggest not using a 1oz lure on that rod. For 1oz lures your going to have to get longer rod with more power, heavy or maybe medium heavy depending on the brand.

What's listed on the reel is suggested. Just know that the bigger the line diameter the less line can be spooled on.

EZ braid is Spider Wire's lowest line of braid so there shouldn't be high expectations for it. We live and we learn.
