Winter 2020-2021
We like to share. Why can’t you appreciate our winter weather like @roadwarrior does?

Why are fishermen called “sticks”?
- Winter 2020-2021
The roads aren’t as bad as I expected, the main roads anyways, but they’re still not the greatest. Work as expected is coming to a screeching halt. With that and the roads most of us will be skating out early today after the absolute necessary work is completed. A select few of us will have to sit until 3:30 with our thumbs up our.......noses waiting on emergencies. The initial thought of getting paid to do nothing is appealing, but I can assure you it’s incredibly BORING!!! ?- Winter 2020-2021
Looks like we got 6-8” of the white stuff last night. The wind is howling and the snow is very lite so drifting is the main issue these next couple days. Winter is finally here! ?- Winter 2020-2021
Thank god the big lake is still open or we’d have those temps too. Windchills Sunday for us is -19.- That Thing You Do. . . . .
That’s easy! I can’t catch a d**n fish. The way I see it, I’m going to release the fish anyways so why catch one? Instead I just buy rods, reels, and a ton of tackle, to test the durability of said items. Don’t forget the boat I bought two years ago. Oh and the Garmin I just bought. Yup, that’s it! I’m a durability tester! ? Is it spring yet? I have new stuff to try out.- Livescope/Active Target: Ghost Tree Gone. Apples To Apples
Live Target is being rented from Garmin so it’s not apples to apples. A company would never let it’s competitors have the exact same technology.- Winter 2020-2021
Do you miss playing in the mud fixing water mains in the middle of the night?- Winter 2020-2021
I’ve seen some good ones over the years, that’s for sure! The best one was on 44th street in Grand Rapids. It was around midnight and a 16 inch (I believe) high pressure water main, there were two and they didn’t know which one was the right one was to shut off, so it took a bit. It destroyed the road and left a huge crater and ultimately took 3 days to repair everything. That one was fun. I imagine @lo n slo has some good stories of water main breaks.- Winter 2020-2021
Yep the frost in the ground is really starting to set in now, the water mains are really starting to burst around here! Job security I guess. ?- Love New Truck Day ~
Does she purrr or growl? Big question, what sounds better, the truck or the Pro XS? ?- Love New Truck Day ~
When are the pipes getting added on?- A-Jay's 3rd Annual Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
Yup same for us. I will this weekend but I can’t during the week. Even though we work outside we really can’t take days off with the exception of the rare major snow event or “polar vortex”. In the almost 11 years I’ve been doing this I could count on one hand and have a few fingers left over the times we’ve been off because of weather. I’ll just have to spend a bit more time in the truck. ?- Legal and ecological questions about relocating a Bass
If it feeds your lake I’d say no. Any DNA, microorganisms, species, etc in the stream “should” be in your lake. Don’t take what I say as gospel because I’m not a marine biologist.- A-Jay's 3rd Annual Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
Have you seen next week?- Lund Pro-V Bass review
I read they’re not the only brand, Crestliner is another.- Is this new?
White River Marine Group is the company Johnny Morris owns and they make several different brands of boats. Tracker, Nitro, Ranger, Mako, Sun Tracker to name a few. JFracho supplied the web address.- Is this new?
Yup it’s new. It’s limited to White River Marine boats.- Way off-topic. A cooking discussion?

Two years ago was the first time my dad in 66 year has had 1: a Chevy 2: 4 wheel drive to top that off the 4x4 isn’t even his daily driver. He basically uses it to go to the races 2-3 times a year, and to putt around once or twice a month on the weekend. Either way he’s made it all these years without 4x4. My work truck doesn’t have 4x4. I’ve personally have always had them for obvious reasons, but it’s not a necessity. Good tires and patience and you’re good to go (under most circumstances).- Lund Pro-V Bass review
I hate to the the bearer of bad news but I read just yesterday LUND isn’t taking anymore new orders until August/September 2021. Hopefully nobody is looking for a new on this year.- New Member stationed in Florida
Welcome aboard and thank you for your service.- Post a photo a day!
I let it go through so I can talk to someone, they ask what vehicle I have and I say, “you called me and told me my vehicles warranty is about to expire, so you tell me what the make, model, and year is on my vehicle.” That gets me hung up on VERY quick and buys me a couple months of silence. ?- Way off-topic. A cooking discussion?
You’ll have to do a bit of digging but there are a few cooking threads on here. “shelter in place ribs” is one of them. The meat looks great!- Love New Truck Day ~
Congrats on the new ‘whip’. Those Sierras are pretty sweet! Looks like you have the tailgate that’ll make getting in and out of the bed much easier. - Winter 2020-2021
