Not yet...............yet ?

It’s been sunny here yesterday and today. It’s a change of pace actually seeing the sun but with everything in Michigan weather wise there’s that catch. Sunny and beautiful, but bitter cold. It looks nice from the window though.

ahh the drunk post. I’ve been guilty of that a time or too. ?

The only problem with just leaving them be until they’re dead is like a chicken they can sometimes surprise you and get up and take off (so I’ve been told).

Nah, I shoveled yesterday morning in single digits and was sweating after 10 minutes.

All three dogs were doing the frozen paw shuffle this morning with the temps hovering around 3* and windchill at -9, tonight is going to be even lower.

I didn’t even know they still made a 4:x gear ratio reel anymore.

I was taught as soon as you shoot the turkey run up to it, step on it’s neck until it stops moving. I still do this and those spurs haven’t gotten me yet.

What’s your go to gear ratio for for deep cranking? Do you stick with 5:x or low 6:x?

I’ve seen a seagull get caught will we were walleye fishing when I was a kid and my wife caught a swan while we were night fishing shortly after we met.

Well this storm didn’t disappoint we got dumped on to the tune of 10-12 inches in a span of 24 hours. We’re looking at another 2-4” by the end of Monday. Could be worse I could be living on the lakeshore, they got around a foot of snow and are looking at another 10” by the end of the day tomorrow.

I’m no chef that’s for sure. Cooking really isn’t difficult. All I do is take things that catch my eye on TV or in my travels, look them up online and make them according to the recipe.

Cruise on over to Novi, Michigan I hear their’s is still going on. The flea market (boat show) in Grand Rapids is canceled because the DeVos Place is rented out at $12k/day for COVID vaccines so the Novi show is still on. Enjoy Detroit. ?

My wife received a big air fryer from one of her customers as a Christmas gift so Sunday I think I’m going to do toasted subs for the “big game”. I’m not sure what I’m doing for the meat though. I’m thinking grilled chicken with grilled onions, green peppers, cheddar cheese, and bbq sauce. We shall see, but I’m looking forward to it. I’m starting to get the air fryer dialed in though. I’m trying to do a Firehouse Subs type of deal.

The Super Bowl is big in your neck of the woods. I know it’s huge but never heard from someone in another country.

I use the IPhone option to silence all calls not in my contacts. If I have a number I know that’s going to call (bank, mortgage, etc.) I’ll add it in so it rings through. The spam calls are few and far between now. My work phone is a different story. I kind of need to answer my calls since I have contractors calling me all day. Mariot hotels is the one who has that number and blows it up and ticks me off. They get me every time.

What I was reading is all their orders have been filled for the year so they won’t take more orders than they can produce for the year. You’ll probably find some good deals on boats in a year or two when people don’t use them anymore, or you’ll find a bunch asking brand new prices from people not realizing how much a boat depreciates. ?

So what is a swell? Big lakes and oceans are pretty mind boggling to me and everything they can do. I get wind and big waves, but for instance watching Deadliest Catch I’ve heard them more than a few times talk about the tide and the wind direction creating gigantic waves, or the current (maybe the same as the tide?) the wind working against each other to create terrible conditions. Then throw in current in a giant lake or ocean and I’m left scratching my head wondering how this happens. When I think of current I think of rivers, creaks, and streams. I guess I’m glad I just have my tiny lakes around me that don’t produce much for waves. The boat traffic creates bigger waves than any nasty storm does.

Those geese do here too. We’ve told them a ton to keep the geese but never listen. We told them to take Justin Bieber back too but you know how that turned out.
