  1. Now that’s a breath of fresh air! 73 days doesn’t seem that bad. It’s inevitable that this mild weather we’re experiencing will last forever, but it’ll be easier to deal with when winter actually shows up knowing open water isn’t too far away.
  2. Give it time ?
  3. Just Google “Ice fishing ice pics” Enjoy the ice fishing. It was ok when I was a kid. I’m not a fan of it now. Maybe if I was one a school of walleye it would be fun.
  4. I leave mine on the whole time I’m on the lake.
  5. Welcome to Bassresource
  6. That’s good to see. Judging by that smile he might know where the juice is out on the lake. Good luck to him and his team this year.
  7. Yup we definitely appreciate the sun when it does show itself. When the sun comes out and the temps are in the upper 30’s to low 40’s watch out!
  8. I was just watching s the weather and for January we received 11% sunlight, our average January is 20%. Ha Ha we’re more blah than you. ?
  9. Looks like I’m starting a college this weekend!
  10. Congrats!
  11. I found this tid bit interesting. 20 of the last 30 days here in my area of Michigan 0% sunlight 6 of the last 30 days less than 20% sunlight and 4 of the last 30 days more than 20% sunlight ?
  12. My good friend traps around our area, mainly muskrat, skunk, coons, Fox, and the occasional coyote. A few months ago he had us over to help him wax his traps. Lol
  13. 47 Sunday and 46 Monday for us. Windy and rainy so it won’t be enjoyable. Watching the weather this evening they said it’s been 8 straight days without the sun. It doesn’t look like it’ll show itself any time soon either. Thanks Lake Michigan!
  14. After being friendly she went and used your mortar mix as a litter. Don’t worry you’ll find it on the next job. ?
  15. ^^^this^^^ The more you educate yourself the better you’ll be. Anyone can explain it to you on here, but the best thing you can do is educate yourself by watching videos, reading a ton, and playing with display models. Fish the moment is a YouTube channel that explains things very well. Lance Valentine (walleye 101) is another that explains things well, more in-depth but well. I’d start with Fish the moment.
  16. Is this real? Your screen name has raised a red flag.
  17. Maybe I’m old school even though I’m 36 but it would light a fire under my arse and make me work hard to figure out the fish and dethrone the team that always wins. It sounds like the ones that are leaving need to find a tournament with participation trophies.
  18. I need to invest in a pair especially the bow graph. I can see myself pitching a jig and bouncing a 3/4 oz one off the screen. I wouldn’t worry about flush mounted units. My only concern with mine is they’re wide open for anything my tire kick up. With flush mounted units they’re out of the way.
  19. I always take mine off, there’s no way I’m taking the chance of a rogue stone or any other debris hitting either of my Garmins and destroying them.
  20. Slow day in the north country? ?
  21. Is there a way to go back and see what their 3 month outlook was say, 3 months ago, or do they delete it if they’re off never to be seen again?
  22. That’s a mighty fine walleye! Did you get that on Menderchuck? PB? You get a weight on that big girl?
  23. No because I had gotten my boat out of hibernation and had her sitting in my driveway. I was ready to go then we got hammered. Five days later though we launched it on our maiden voyage and the first time on our lake since we moved to our house in January ‘19. My son (6poundbass) snuck his pole on the boat and while we were going through the no wake area managed the first bass of the year! Then eight days later on 4-16
  24. Thankfully they changed our bass season to catch and release all year long. This was a few years ago they changed it, until then catch and release was I believe the third Saturday in April and catch and keep (which I don’t do) is the third Saturday in May.
  25. Oh I’m with ya A-Jay! The long range forecast looks promising for keeping ice on the lakes to a minimum. I’m liking this, I hope it continues this past.
