Handheld GPS Question?
There are handhelds that have the capability of reading mapping software and have a plotting screen. A couple of discontinued but still available models are Lowrance H2O and H2Oc. I have the H2O and use the Navionics Hotmaps software and the Lowrance Hotspots software. Garmin has units with mapping capability also.

Meeting Set for Decline in Largemouth Bass Fishing at Kerr Lake
I haven't noticed any decline in the bass catching. When was it supposed to have started?

Y'all Pick
Both are good boats, the factory backing/service of the BassCat is unsurpassed. The Optimax has the best fuel mileage. The Verado is too heavy for good performance on bass boats. The rest are just OK.

Got a new spinning combo! =)
Did you put some tape or backing on the reel spool before installing the braid?

Hiber-Net
I have one of the original ones that is a little shorter than the current model. It is flimsy in the front of the hoop and the opening is kind of small to handle large fish. It takes some training for your fishing partner to operate it correctly. It is definately a space saver though.

Electric guys
You will be wiring for 15A, but the circuit should only be loaded for 75%-80% of the capacity. Change the wire size to 12 ga and use a 20A breaker.

fitting a jon boat in the bed of a truck
If your jon boat has the oar sockets, put the boat in the truck bed transom first. Use two tiedowns straps, one in each socket and the other ends to the front corners of the truck bed. Cross the tiedown straps for a more solid hold. Use a floatation cushion between the transom and truck bed. A red flag on the bow may be a requirement.

When I went that route, it was for temporary use in a regular jon boat. I used this: http://www.boatersland.com/rul202k.html

Humminbird 565 fish finder question
Exchange the supplied transducer with this and you won't have the deal with the fragile setup of a transom transducer adapted to trolling motor use. http://store.humminbird.com/products/314022/XTM_9_20_T

Humminbird 565 fish finder question
The 565 has one on the highest resolution screens available anywhere. If the transducer is installed properly, it should display returns very well. Even with a basic knowledge of how a sonar unit works, you should see what you mentioned. A trolling motor mount for the supplied transom mount transducer is available from Humminbird, Bass Pro, and other major boating suppliers. A more compact transducer made for trolling motor mounting and in-hull mounting is available also. That type transducer can be exchanged for the supplied one by Humminbird---leave it in the package as it comes in the box. Does you present unit indicate the water depth?

line replacement
I took this picture yesterday about 1:30 PM and it snowed until after 7:00PM. The yard stick is on the hood of one of my trucks.

line replacement
6mile, yes I did. As soon as the streets are plowed I'll send them. We got over 22" of snow---- still digging out.

Favorite hook for wacky rigging ??
RandySBreth, for wacky rigging Senkos, I put a wire weedguard on Octopus hooks. I use 7 strand stainless steel leader material, a short piece of 1/8" electrical shrink tubing, and a little heat. No fly tying vise or skill needed. It takes a few seconds to assemble it.

Favorite hook for wacky rigging ??
I use a 3/0 Gamakatsu Octopus #02413 for Trick worms and a 2/0 Gamakatsu Octopus #02412 or a 2/0 Owner Mosquito for finesse worms. About 90% of the bass I catch are with that presentation.
