  1. Tackle Warehouse has everything except bluegill and watermelon in stock. I've been waiting to try them out. I picked up white and lemon/lime.
  2. Anyone one throwing them with success with water temps in mid-80's right now?
  3. A little higher than what you are looking for but on the Dobyn's website you can get a factory mislabeled one for $170.
  4. Very nice, and yes that is what I meant!
  5. Yeah, no problem with the rod. I use it for weightless plastics and lightly weighted plastics. It fits the bill perfectly for that. Yes exactly!
  6. Picked up a Daiwa SS SV103SH NIB from the flea market
  7. Dobyn's run a little lighter than what they say. At least the Fury's do. I have a few Champion series crankbait rods and I still use the FR705CB for 1.5 squarebills and 1/2 lipless cranks. It's got a good parabolic action.
  8. I have been using Seaguar Senshi in 10# test on all my cranking set ups. I really like it. Super soft and very castable. You can get 1000 yd spools for $18 on ebay. They have a few other choices at that price as well.
  9. Something in the mid-low 5 ounce range
  10. Thanks, I have a 70, and they do work really well with lighter lures. I'm looking for something a little lighter.
  11. I'm looking for a very light baitcasting reel to pair with a Dobyn's Champion Extreme 733. I use it for weightless and light weight soft plastics. I searched some older threads and couldn't find anything very recent. I'm pretty open but have been mainly looking at: Shimano Aldebaran Lews Team Lite Daiwa SS SV 105 - I can't find any solid reviews on this one Please let me know of any experience or recommendations you may have.
  12. This is very general. M - small squarebills MH - larger squarebills to mid-depth H - deep divers All mod fast actions
  13. Now I know what my problem is...my 300 tranx is too small for the strippers!
  14. For me it's a straight moderate retrieve the majority of the time. A little more than it takes to get the tail spinning. I'll change it up if I'm not getting any blow ups. Stop and start, burn it, etc.
  15. Those 3xd hooks are garbage. I caught a couple of dinks one day and they were bent out. I found that on a website we can't name here that lists the hook sizes. Funny they didn't have the xd hooks listed but square bills were.
  16. Is there anywhere to confirm that actual sizes of hooks on crank baits? I have some KVD 2.5 squarebills I need to change some hooks on.
  17. Use a sharpie and write the diving depth on the bill
  18. There's an MB in the flea market BNIB for $100
  19. It's also important to note they don't just imitate crayfish. They can also imitate bluegill, shad, etc.
  20. I think you can get the Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 for around $65/ea
  21. Yes. K is obv larger. It takes the body (minus 10%) of the I series and gives it the smoothness of the 70 (and Chronarch with Micro Module gearing). I have decided after fishing the K's that I will not be purchasing any more Chronarch MGL's. I also see no reason, other than size, to purchase a 70 over a K.
  22. I don't but it's only because I'm weird and OCD. I'm actually only down to one Daiwa rod (the rest are Dobyn's) but I won't put anything but a Daiwa reel on it. To provide more context I won't wear Nike and Under Armour at the same time. It's one or the other.
