If he would have done it for 15 i would have bought it.Spent 5 bucks to re tip it and had a spare rod for 20 bucks total.I mean it was probably broken off right at the tip and it was clean.Easy repair.

Found a 7' MHF Halo Starlite casting rod at walmart with a broken tip maybe 1/2 inch down.It was 50$ retail,so i asked the manager to come down on the price since it was broken.He was reluctant but offered me the rod for 25$ i said i would give him 15 and he said 20 is the best he could do.I eventually declined not knowing a whole lot about the rod quality.I also found Super flukes on clearance for 1.88 and a Shimano FX2500 for 9.00 and assumed it was a low end junk reel so i didnt buy it.Should i have bought the Halo and re tipped it or is that Starlite line junk?

I actually loved the 70.I really wanted to try the Daiwa though.I brought it back so i could spend the other 70 on more lures i dont need.Both reels are butter.I llve the CT and i dont regret doing it.Beginning of last season i was going between the CT and the Incepti0n and bought the latter.Now i have both.

I did just that.I played with 70 for a few days in the house then i returned it for the CT but i got 70 bucks back.

I use the Mustad KVD triple grip short shanks for everything.Hooks seem to be the topic for today.

they are still taking pre orders for these i think.
