  1. I second this. Great bang for your buck. Miliken fishing loves them too.
  2. If you can get past the Minnie part ( I thought it was kind of cool though lol) watch this video and see for yourself how two of the three you mention stack up against each other:
  3. I have the Plus and it is one of my favorites to throw (Speed Demon is my fav.). I just wish I fished FW more. The Spartacus Maximus is great for inshore redfish aka "channel bass." Only issue I have had is the small plastic cover on the thumb release came off after I dropped it. Still 10/10 functional.
  4. Very cool to see this! I hope to be able to make it to the Classic. Anyone else going? https://www.bassresource.com/giveaway/kastking-speed-demon-giveaway.html
  5. Following, I sure do love my Perigee II's.
  6. LOVE the Perigee 2's for the price. Check out their YT channel they have tons of videos from everyday anglers.
  7. Love this video. it is an amazing sight to see.
  8. What model of braid did you go with? Obviously, the higher strand smoother braid will be quieter. I assume you went with the SUperPower or new KastPro 4 strand braid?
  9. I've used mine since they were first released. I have even used it in SW (not recommended). It has cosmetic damage but still runs strong. I did have to take it apart and do a deep clean after the salt trip took a toll. I also bought a second opposite hand retrieve and that one is still mint. FWIW
  10. I say yay. Great rods for the money. KastKing has new rods coming out soon too. Looking forward to those.
  11. Just got mine in! So excited to try it out...the biospool smells too! HAHA!
  12. I see all the vote but I must say...if you have never thrown a super high speed reel you need to try it. It is a lot easier to slow your cadence down on a high speed reel compared to speeding up your cadence on a slow speed reel. I have and continue to use both, but the Speed Demon has three slots in my rod rack.
  13. Look into the Spartacus Maximus. WOW! It's great to see that KastKing has come such a long way and now is being used in Bassmaster Elite competition. I have been following them for a while and creep these posts often. They keep on impressing me and these comments further validate what they are doing.
  14. I agree! I would say no BC that is what started the company from what I have researched.
  15. ICAST best of show winner for a reason. Love that rack. I have three of them but my favorite, and the easiest one, is the largest one. I agree, having wheels would be the nuts.
  16. Good points. However, think about the change in the digital landscape. I personally cut cable because everything is online and streaming now including most of my shopping. Even the wife order groceries online! They are doing something right that's for sure but I agree, having something in your hand first before you buy is def a plus. I think they rely on social media heavily to combat this problem. WOW that is a LONG time to wait. Where do you fish? I fish in Texas and the bass season is all year...better in certain months though.
  17. If I need it now Ill pay the four dollars extra. If not, I could wait. Thanks for sharing Makes sense too. If they dont have stock they have to order it or ship it direct from factory. What I understand is that they do this anyways - skip the middleman- and pass the savings to the customer.
  18. If you can get by the "zaniness" of this speaker he offers some personal experience with pink line.
  19. Should be ok unless you are fishing super clear shallow water. I have used bright orange line and had success on topwater but anytime I threw it deep, nothing. Plus you can always add a leader
  20. Could be a number of factors IMO. Could be a super tuned reel, regular tuned reel, lighter line, better cast form, etc. Both reels are less expensive ones which goes to show that it doesn't matter how much you spend on products, your skills as an angler trump bearing count, price, material, make, location, etc.
  21. Have you fished with a high speed reel regularly? I will say that it is a great feeling when you can pick up like so fast during ANY application. Yes, you do need to mentally slow your retrieve down for slower presentations but I think having the option to pick up line fast is better than not having that option. I personally got used to having that high speed that when I put that reel down, I found myself picking it back up and slowing my retrieve down. Just my $.02.
  22. Awesome thanks for sharing! I am gonna restock while I can!
  23. Mega 8 was my favorite but they stopped making it. I now use the new 9 strand they offer and have had great success. The affordable SuperPower braid is a go -to for affordable braid. Not as smooth and thicker. Way cheaper though.
  24. PB Crackers and some jerky are always staples on my boat. Dont really want to stop and eat lunch when I can snack and keep fishing.
  25. Blood knot to braid issues with micro guides...Do these other knots help? I have always used the blood knot and didnt think about micro guide applications. I think the blood knot, from my experience, would work - if tied correctly.
