  5. My first tournament I was bank fishing with an aerated cooler as a live well, lol. 90 degrees out and didn't get bit until an hour left in the day, working a frog on a weed edge and got back to back blow ups, landed one of the fish, a 1lb 13oz largemouth. That was the only fish I weighed in and still finished 3rd out of 10 anglers. Winning bag was 6lb 13oz. Was a tough day for everyone
  6. Those cheese mats will produce more as the summer heat beats down on those fish.
  7. I use mono on my lone spinning rod, because I use this for poppers, along with my finesse presentations. Only casting reel I have braid on is my frog reel
  8. Lowest you can get away with. I frogged with 30lb Sufix 832 last year. Often around thick mats and it seemed to be plenty.
  9. I use a Bionic Blade (newest model) 7' MH/F. Well, it's rated fast, but it's really more of a moderate/mod fast. Works well
  10. I use Rapala Braid Scissors. Work great. Not sure on the Powell rods.. I always use TW
  11. It's rough here in NW Ohio. Gotten a few blow ups on the livetarget field mouse, none on the frog.
  12. I use a mod fast glass rod. Works well
  13. Best dog, chilli dog to be exact, is here in Toledo, Tony Packos. And the best burger ive ever had is Five Guys
  14. It's very easy to see under water, with that being said it is a good braid, I frog with #50. In hesitant to use straight braid for anything but frogs unless I'm using very dirty water.
  15. Scott Martin, my favorite.
  16. Awesome. I frogged with the 7'3" MH Veritas last year, it worked great. Love those rods
  17. Daiwa Aird X
  18. Suffix 832 is my favorite, I also use Power Pro Spectra and it's performed well
  19. I like the Ike Series.. but the St Croix Premier is better than both for $140
