  1. Fall, I like wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, smokin em' on jerkbaits.
  2. Doesn't bother me, my three main combos are mix-and-matched. Daiwa reel on an Irod, Daiwa reel on an Abu rod, Lews reel on a BPS rod
  3. I would look at any SV spool Daiwa, 7.1:1 minimum
  4. Fast action? I'd skip docks with it
  5. Awesome, especially during a tournament!
  6. Yellow Booyah Poppin' Pad Crasher. It's responsible for my 3 biggest bass.
  7. Throwing a 130 Plopper for the first time, underestimated the weight and made a loooong cast, it just kept going and going.... and going.... I looked down at my reel and ALL my line was gone.
  8. I'm in the process of doing this now, just upgrading to higher end gear.
  9. I use the MB on my "all purpose" setup. I throw anything from 1/8 oz swimbaits to 1/2oz spinnerbaits. It's a solid reel
  10. Not the Maumee, the Portage.
  11. Treble hooks. I hate handling fish with a face full of trebles
  12. Haven't had a problem with mine yet
  13. I use my medium/fast casting rod for jerkbaits, spooks and poppers. And that's about it
  14. We wade quite often in a river that is typically ankle/shin deep with the occasional 2-3 feet deep areas. Not too many big smallies caught but there are days where we catch them every cast for hours on end, typically 1-2 pounders.
  15. I use 7.1:1 on one of my plastics rods and 8.1:1 on the other. I personally would never go lower than 7.1:1 for any bottom contact baits, the ability to pick up line quickly and work your bait is crucial. I like 6.4:1 for spinnerbaits/chatterbaits/smaller swimbaits/shallow crankbaits. And a 5.4:1 for deep crankbaits and big swimbaits. Just my preferences.
  16. Booyah Poppin' Pad Crasher
  17. Hands down my favorite. Have caught tons of fish on the same Poppin' Pad Crasher over the last 2 years, including a 6.5lb and it still is flawless, never fills up with water. And at a great price point
  18. I use a Lews Tournament MB on my "All around" setup and can bomb weightless presentations, 1/8oz swimbaits/tubes/grubs with ease. Paired with a MH Bionic Blade, very cheap rod that's actually become one of my favorites to fish because of how it handles anything from ned rigs up to 3/4 oz spinnerbaits.
  19. I would buy that! I have a thing for jon boat to bass boat conversions.
  20. Frog easy, then spook
  21. Cavs won that trade. IT brings consistency that Kyrie lacks. Adding a legitimate stopper in Crowder takes alot of the defensive load off LeBron. Cavs *on paper* are considerably better than last season after this.
  22. Tough decision to make, hypothetically if I could only have one outfit, I'd probably go with a 6.8:1 reel.
  23. Fishing a pond that I've been going to often for the past few years, biggest fish I've previously caught out of it was my now old PB, a 4lber, with a handful of 3's as well. Today i was throwing a frog on the edge of some thick weeds, cracked a 5lber, then about 20 minutes later this 6lb 8oz stud! ?
