Complementary Rod and Reel setup to Spinning setup
In my opinion, a 7' medium heavy with a fast tip is a great all-around rod.

What size Minn Kota for 14' Canoe
I use an Endure C2 30 on a pond prowler type boat. It's a little slow but it pushes the boat good enough. 55 should be solid for your canoe

Decent Rod For Under $50
I don't use one personally, but the Daiwa Aird X has nothing but great reviews on TW. $54.99

cranking with braided line
Cranking with a zero stretch line seems crazy to me.. seems as though more and more people are doing it, maybe I shall try!

What Is Your Strangest, Unintended Catch
A frog. Thankfully it unhooked it's self in mid air. Every time I throw frogs in this certain pond, real frogs come flying off the bank into the water chasing down my frog. It's quite amusing. Lol

Tackle backpacks
Great investment. I use a BPS bag (can't remember exact model) but it's blue and I believe $29.99. It is a full backpack but can be broken down to just a shoulder bag. Full size it holds 10 3600 boxes, broken down it holds 4. Also has plenty off storage for other miscellaneous stuff.

Unconfident baits
I throw spinnerbaits exclusively in chocolate milk water, they excel there for me.

Lets talk tube set ups
My all time confidence bait, there was once a time where I didn't own any tackle besides tubes and tube jig heads. Simple times... lol. I used a Shimano Crucial 7' M/F spinning rod paired with a Sienna 2500. 10lb mono mostly. Tube jig head with exposed hook, dragging and snapping them around rocks. I've mostly stuck with some kind of variation of green pumpkin and watermelon. BPS Tournament Series are my favorite to throw. Also, don't be afraid to throw these in ponds, largemouth love em

Big fish in small pond??
I fish a small farm pond regularly. Have caught many 3-4lb as well as one 6lb and lost an 8+ at the bank. They are in there

Need help choosing good all round reel.
I'd look for a 7'-7'3" medium heavy/fast action rod and a 7.x:1 reel. Personally if that were my budget and situation I'd get a Daiwa Tatula CT ($129.99 on TW) then pick your poison on a rod, the sub $120 market is flooded with great rods. Can't go wrong

Rod/Power to throw Whopper Plopper 130
Only rod i have that I can somewhat comfortably throw it on is a flipping stick. 7'6" H/F. If I had a swimbait rod id probably be using that
-
9-10 foot Flippin' rods
No need. 7'6" H will get fish out of pretty much anything.

Thoughts on Powell
So I was in the market for a shallow cranking rod earlier this year, TW had the Powell Diesel marked down to $40.. even after reading all the horror stories about this rod breaking randomly, I had to chance it at that price. The exact rod I bought was the 6'9" M/MF glass rod. I was immediately blown away by it, it's insanely light, comfortable and just has that quality feel. Well after one time using it (no fish even caught) it has a chip in the blank near the handle, it's days are most likely numbered. I loved the feel of the rod so much that I'm thinking about switching up my current arsenal (Veritas, Bionic Blades mostly) to Infernos. Just wanted to get some input from bassresource.. What do you all think about the Inferno series and Powell in general?

What's your preferred method of fishing?
My favorite way to catch them is heavy cover froggin. When that's not an option I have the most fun pitching laydowns, with ribbontail worms and craws.

Spinnerbait/chatterbait setup line?
Currently using 15lb copolymer and it works well. P-Line Fluoroclear to be exact. I use it on my spinnerbait and jig outfits.

Grass Mat Rookie
I would continue to frog it. Vary your retrieves up until you figure out how they want it.

Is 50lb braid overkill?
I throw frogs with #65 braid, a MH rod and clinch drag down all the way
