  1. Thanks for clearing that up, that's just what I've always heard and I've also heard Kevin Van Dam himself back that up. Which is why I assumed it was true
  2. I don't fish either of them but Daiwa makes the Arachnid for cabelas
  3. I use fluoro. Most, if not all, crankbait manufacturers advertised depths is based off of using 12lb fluoro
  4. Poppers and senkos are huge producers for me. I'll occasionally throw Texas rigged craws and tubes as well, and small spinnerbaits.
  5. Weighltess on a worm hook and work it like a jerk bait. Or on the back of a chatterbait
  6. I usually don't buy from Wal-Mart but when we are there I will browse through the bargain bin, sometimes they have packs of Yum craws, dingers and creature baits for $1
  7. I think it varies from state to state, here in Ohio you do not need a title for any craft under 14 ft. Still needs to be registered though, I'd contact your state Division of Watercraft to see what you need to do.
  8. Same. I only use fluro for cranking. P-Line Fluoroclear everything else besides frogs. Great, cheap line.
  9. Have you looked at the Daiwa DX swimbait lineup?
  10. I love the feel of this rod, honestly can't believe it's an $80 rod. I did read all the bad reviews as far as durability goes prior to ordering it, just couldnt pass up the price. Kind of makes me leery about Powell, though I have had my eye on the inferno and max for a while now. Guess I'll start planning something new. Appreciate your responses
  11. It's down into the blank. Not a huge loss, I picked it up on clearance for $35.
  12. Periodically check tacklewarehouse. They are always having sales
  13. I have a Powell Diesel glass crankbait rod and noticed today that there is a small knick in the blank below the first guide. Is this rod going to snap on me soon?
  14. Christie craw, craw papi, zoom speed craw, paca craw.
  15. I throw mainly 1/2oz spinnerbaits and use a mh/mf. I personally would never drop down to a medium.
  16. 4" tube. Has my been confidence bait for 15 years, even on the worst days I seem to always be able to catch a few fish dragging a tube
  17. IMO the pad crasher is alot easier to walk
  18. Picked up a pair of Whopper Plopper 130s and a Spro Bronzeye frog. After a couple outings with the Spro I think I'll stick with my Pad Crashers.
  19. 65lb braid Yes, lol. Tossed a chatterbait at it and got it back to the bank
  20. My bag holds 4 3600 boxes, I have 1 box full of jigs, 1 box for topwater & jerkbaits, 1 box for all my terminal tackle, 1 box for all my crankbaits. And depending on which soft plastics I'll be using that day I'll shove those in the side compartment. I typically start off with my confidence baits, if those don't produce I'll start throwing stuff I don't typically throw as much.
  21. Liter of cola? Do we have liter of cola?
  22. The 130 cast a mile, took mine out for the first time, had a strong wind behind me and wasn't paying attention, I look down at my reel and ALL of my line is gone. Yep, casted a whole spool of braid off my reel. The whopper plopper just sailed off into the sunset
