THANKYOU FOR THIS COLD FRONT!
Launched at 3 a.m., air temp was 63 and water temp was 78-80. Lost another buzzbait, (blade keeps cutting the line on the cast) but landed three on a LC wake bait. The rest of the week looks good temp wise. Sure is nice to be able to paddle without coming back drenched with sweat.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
NOS (New Old Stock) Just picked these up, dealer box included. The Risto Rap is one of my favorite balsa cranks and I'll always have one in my box. It has landed me many bass over the years and I call it my Shad Rap on steroids. https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/Risto.html

Best Soft Plastic Storage?
Man, I'm glad I don't have your problem! Then again, I don't fish tournaments. I carry two colors of my favorite worm, four colors of my favorite craw trailer, four colors of my favorite creature, and four colors of my favorite chatterbait trailer. A total of 16 original bags inside a zippered bag attached to the back of my seat. All other plastics I carry inside a dry bag in the front hatch. Best of luck with your KBF tournaments.

Reports to "Last Roll Call." I received word this afternoon that Vincent Hughes passed away this past Friday. If service to country and community had a face, it would look like him. Vincent Hughes, Vietnam Veteran and retired NYPD Medal of Honor recipient.

HATS OFF TO THE U.S. COAST GUARD
X2, @ike8120 and @A-Jay! Found this tribute to you. I like it because of the parachutes. I'll never call a Coast Guardsman a "Leg" after watching this. (That's what we called non jumpers in the Army) Again, hats off to you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZyFkEw22rg

HATS OFF TO THE U.S. COAST GUARD
From ABC News: CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a kayaker Tuesday morning after he lost his kayak and tried to get it back at the Lawrence Street T-head. The kayaker told 3News he was out fishing and had tied his kayak to the rocks, but it came loose and drifted away. The man tried to swim after it but couldn't grab hold of the kayak, and that's when he started waving for help. Thankfully a bystander saw him. The man was not hurt and was rescued in time. "If he was in there for however many hours, just struggling, I mean he was worn out by the time they got him on that boat," witness Wyath Lillard said. According to authorities, the man was not wearing a life vest.

Take care of yourself, take care of each other. I've already gone through all my cold compresses and that's just from night fishing. Going out to buy more. (I use them on the back of my neck.)

ANOTHER LIFE LOST
The body of Greg Caristedt, age 36, was found in Crystal Lake, Illinois this past Thursday. Local authorities have reported his death as a drowning. His overturned kayak was found a couple days later. Although he had a PFD with him, he was not wearing it. He is survived by his parents and one sister.
