Yes sir, stay on your toes. Update: You should have seen the old man running for cover when those lightning bolts started falling. Heavy wind and rain with this one. Two inches in one hour, ground can't hold any more.- Denny Brauer fishing

Honoring those Americans who rest on foreign soil. On the walkway to the overlook at the American Cemetery, Normandy, can be found the following inscription: NOUS N'OUBLIONS PAS, NOUS N'OUBLIERONS JAMAIS, LA DETTE D'INFINIE GRATITUDE QUE NOUS AVONS CONTRACTEE ENVERS CEUX QUI ONT TOUT DONNE POUR NOTRE LIBERATION. René Coty President de la Republique Francaise TRANSLATION WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN, WE WILL NEVER FORGET, THE DEBT OF INFINITE GRATITUDE THAT WE HAVE CONTRACTED WITH THOSE WHO GAVE EVERYTHING FOR OUR FREEDOM.- Standup vs stream kayak

- FISHING FLOODED LAKES
As many of you already know, Oklahoma has experienced a wicked May, weather wise. I've lived here going on 25 years and I do not remember it ever being like this. I hate to admit it, but when it comes to fishing flooded lakes, I feel like a rookie. Ran into a few other anglers yesterday leaving one of the lakes at our refuge as I was getting ready to launch. They all reported the same experience as I found later, the bass are all over the place. Under normal conditions I usually know where the fish are at any period during the year, but with this extremely high water, I feel like I'm throwing darts. When I checked out known structure where post spawn bass normally retreat, they're not there. I checked out a lot of the newly submerged shore line and saw a few bucks, but no post spawn. The month of June is going to be interesting.- SCARING THE H*** OUT OF ME, OK and KS

- The Found Lures Thread
Next time you're up at Table Rock, if you find this lure around the Aunts Creek area, put it away for me. I lost it several years ago and would like to get it back. It was my goto lure.- Norman Lures: Born In The USA
Doesn't matter. I like the DD22 for those times when I want to crank down into that structure and not worry about losing it. A lot cheaper than the LC and MB deep cranks and just as effective. I've got LC and MB divers, but sometimes that bottom structure gets gnarly, and that's when I tie on a Norman.- Norman Lures: Born In The USA
Good song. I'm also partial to Toby Keith. American Soldier and Courtesy of The Red, White and Blue. - SCARING THE H*** OUT OF ME, OK and KS
