  1. Go with the poppers first get a larger one that way you can get a little help from the lure with the casting. The popper you work just like a any top water bait you are used to using. Three short tugs then let it set. I have caught a lot of bass on them but they also get hit by the bluegill alot. But it is a lot of fun to catch any fish on one. good luck
  2. First are you on a lake or moving water(river, stream) If you are on a lake try top water poppers in a larger size so the blue gill will leave it alone. next most streamers (large fly that imitates a baitfish) you cast out then use the line to pull it back under the surface kind of like working a jerkbait back. On the cast don't try to force it just let the weight of the line pull out once you let it go. Hope this helps I haven't been fly fishing in years but I can remember some of it.
  3. You might want to get yoou some tube baits. can be rigged like most soft plastics. Also do you know it there are larger fish in the area? I know that one creek I have near my home you can catch alot of fish but anything over 10 inches is huge for it in parts.
  4. That is one awesome fish
  5. Catch a new personal best. Get a new boat. Learn how to fish a crankbait better. And finally let the bait monkey go wild with my card. ;D ;D
  6. You might want to try a tube bait as well. They work pretty good in the spring. You can rig them either texas rigged or with a jig head made for one.

  12. I like Tombsone I also enjoy some of the older ones like El Derado(spelling) with John Wayne. My Dad is really into them and got me into them when I was young.
  13. I saw something on this on another site it stated that what was going on is that basically you are not aloud to take live fish across state lines. So tournaments on waters that cover 2 states like border lakes and rivers if you catch a fish on one side you can't take the fish back to the other for the weigh in. That will make it really hard on alot of people.

  23. first welcome. Try to slow down your approach. If you are using fast moving baits try to slow it down with soft plastics or jigs. Good luck
