Fishing in the winter...
Try going to the upper end of the lake the water may be clearer. Baits go smaller and slow it down is right. Also watch the temp of the water if it is still a little warm you may be able to use crankbaits or spinnerbaits even. Good luck

Calling All Cartographers!
Welcome aboard. I think a map of any new water is good to have and even to go back and look at after you have been on the lake several times. It is a great way to get an early jump and pointed in the right direction. Plus a great way to pass the time waiting to get on the water. If you get one of the water proof maps they sell in the stores you should be able to use a sharpie marker on them I think. Good luck and congrats on the the new boat when you get it.

Dock question
Just wondering what most of you use around the big Marina style floating docks? I like to use a spinnerbait I was wanting to see what everyone else trys.
-
what is your spinnerbait go to color
I use a white on most days but if the water is real clear and the sun is bright I throw more of a clear shad color bait

bass habitation
Make sure to line up downstream and pull the bait back down the fish will line up downstream of the cover and use it as an ambush spot for anything coming down through the water.

Classic Predictions
I will go with IKE or KVD. Luke was about to go with BASS then went and met with the FLW boys then changed his mind. My guess it has alot to do with not wanting him to compete on both same reason after IKE has blown up tons of time and acted like a fool on the water Ranger drops him when he says he isn't doing FLW this year.

Flpping help
KVD has a video through BPS called pitchin to heavy hitters shows alot of the different stuff you might want to check it out.

favorite lure company

what holds your tackle?..
I use the same bag and for Christmas got a Plano Flip sider from my folks. I keep some older boxes I have used over the years full of old bobbers and sinkers for when I take the kids out. Now the only problem is I have to fill the empty space from the new box up. The bait monkey did a back flip when I opened it. ;D

B.A.S.S. Conservation
Actually Ray Scott didn't sell BASS to ESPN he sold it back in the late 80's to a Alabama business woman and she sold it to ESPN. BASS still does alot but it is at the local level with some work done through the Federation Nation working together to do some in the National area.

how much do bass pros get when they sign withspons
According to Ike's book his sponsorship depends on how much they want to put in. It varies with each type of sponsor and each fisherman

Jst Startin
Welcome aboard. Try around the weeds but watch your graft. Look for baitfish the fish are going to key on them. NOt much different then how it is out in saltwater I guess. If the weeds are thick try sending baits in around the weed edges look for any depth change in the weeds it will hold more fish. Good luck

Where do they go when the sun comes out
So that is why Smallmouth get so brown ;D ;D
-
Where do they go when the sun comes out
If the water is real clear you may want to change up color and size. Sounds like that it is becasue once the sun comes up the bite stops. Try colors that are more natural and move the bait a little quicker if the water is real calm.

help a noobie plz
Welcome aboard. Read anything you can on the subject. I fish spinnerbaits 75% of the time I am on the water. Watch water color and match accordingly. Muddy the water go to bright colors big blades. Cast and retrive pause and go all work you just have to try and see.

The new Issue of Bassmasters..Its Good
This months issue was better than the ones have been from the past. I had alot of my old issues from the 90's and they seemed to have more advice in them then the last couple of years. Feb issue seemed a little more geared to that.

Do you pitch/flip right or left handed?
I use my left put it is my dominant arm so it just come natural. I have started to practice with my right because some times I have seen places where it would work better.
