  1. I have an arsenal of lipless cranks from 3/8-3/4 lol
  2. I agree riverbasser your pretty well stocked up. I lIke flipping soft plastics gene larew rattling crawler missile d-bombers reaction innovation Kinky beavers
  3. it's all good my man, you have a passion for something. as long as you dont lose your family and job over it your good to go
  4. lol so true my brother lives in South West Florida and when he comes back to visit he burrows a thermal and a hooded sweatshirt for a beautiful fall night. hell I'm in shorts in any temp above freezing. Raymond NH we just got 20-25"
  5. I like what you said here. WRB just took a small whack at you but maybe he didn't read your post I quoted. and no offense to anyone but you can be 20 or 100 when you state something like"I'm an old timer and I forgot more about fishing then you may ever learn online" shows insecurity. if you can use tools like this forum you can put them to real life trials and build a nice arsenal of skills. you can post anything online but real life experience will always trump keyboard warrior insight. you need to know how to sift through the bull ,but there is some great people out there like most of us like minded people on this site. I miss mom&pop tackle shops the local knowledge you can gain is amazing. I like going to BPS at times their lost leaders can be beneficial to my wallet and this is why mom&pops stores go under. it's all about the mighty dollar and when BPS owns the fishing market they have so much capital and avenues to distribute their product it strangles the small shops. next is the online wholesale/retail shops. they offer some great prices and have hard to find specialty products. then since everything has to be shipped they do it in bulk and have a stranglehold on that market. case and point I just shipped a fishing rod basic ups ground, TW ships for free on orders over a certain value it cost me 45.00 bucks.
  6. I was looking at the ss sv103 jdm model thing weight 5.3 Oz ! I think that's the lightest reel I have ever heard of
  7. all good stuff for sure thanks I think the tatula will be the rod and I guess the 65lb braid is coming off and 15lb sniper will be applied
  8. I would say light grass nothing crazy. more or less it would be used on main lake points, steepdrops and so on
  9. that's what I thought but since I have barely started lipless I wanted a second opinion. even though my 7'2 tatula isnt glass I should be good since it is a composite right?
  10. what's up all I already have a normal crankbait setup but I'm looking to dedicate a set up for lipless here is what I got 7'2MH moderate a Lews 6:4:1 reel spooled with 65lb braid should I unspool and go with 20lb fluro? or I'm I over thinking and switch my normal cranks with the lipless on that set up which is 7'1M moderate glass rod ardent elite 6:5:1 spooled 15lb fluro all ideas welcome
  11. I love your taste lol
  12. I agree with this statement. Fish do move and not every angler is crelated equal great insight
  13. I have heard of that in deep sea fishing too over here in new England. that would make sense for a baitcaster setups or a surf rod lol
  14. I love them so light and sensitive. I feel like they are the best rod under 200 out. my light handled a 3.8 smallie with ease the 7'2 m for shakey heads I just got this year but if it performs like the light it will be a sweet setup up I wanted to add this I have a Loomis glx as a back up now since the M1 feel that much lighter and more sensitive. so I think they are better then some even more $$$ rods
  15. i have 2 stradics a 2500 mgf and a 2500 ci4 . the weight of the sustain is much heavier then the ci4 stradic. for the price the sustain has different shielded bearings I belive as well. so for salt water a sustain may be better but for bass fishing stick with the 2500 series stradic. take a look at tacklewarehouse.com and compare but I would lean towards the stradic.
  16. well here is my little whip 1036 tracker jon boat rigged with a 55lb MinnKota two batteries for the motor a humminbird 541 fish finder
  17. nice fish what state you on? new England has been like that too 60's one day and 20's and snow the next. I'm planning on getting out in next week if the weather permits.
  18. here is my line up 7'6 jdm zillion paired With c0ncept (c) 7'4 tatula paired with c0ncept (a) 7'2 tatula paired with lew's tournament 7'1 envy glass paired with ardent elite 7'2 phenix M1 paired with ci4 2500 7'2 phenix M1 paired with stradic mg
  19. I've tried to dropshot with my baitcaster and I couldn't do it. maybe it was the rod but it didn't feel right I'm spoiled with my phenix and stradic setup. as I stated before there is no right answer if your comfortable with a baitcaster and it works for you use it.
  20. it is dangerous being so close to one, I'm in raymond nh like 25 min from the Hooksett one.I think I could put myself in serious debt if my wife allowed it. the one thing about the smaller shops the mark up can be huge for the same products if BPS is close just stick with them
  21. just up 93 in Hooksett nh is a bass pro also Foxborough mass Has a bass pro I think billerica still has a small bass shop near the center
  22. even baitcaster setups can be cheap it's all about preference. my drop shot is a stradic2500 a 7'2 M1 light 10lb braid to 8lb fluro. that's what I like. my first set up was a 7'l abu vendetta and a Lews gold real cheap set up. so there is no right answer here except do what feels right
  23. Rockingham County nh still iced over but I'm dying to get out there.
  24. man that would be so cool to fish with a high end pro like Ott defoe or Jacob wheeler. if I had a little bit better flexibility and a few bigger tournaments under my belt I would love to fish an open as Co. odd question if you win the co-angler portion what does that do for you? like what do you win as a prize, is it like a pat on the back or something better?
  25. I'm talking to guy working out details to be his CO right now and I love what your saying. I hope the club is a 5 fish per boat bag it will make for an easier outing. my issues are in can come with some baggage, I fish a fare amount of rods and being a co-angler that can be aggravating. so I have to really cut back on that I hope we can pre-fish and work out a game plan and not just show up cold to the launch. I plan on paying half or more for the gas and depending on the fee maybe some of my boaters. it's pretty cool for someone to let you on their boat especially if they don't know you.
