  1. Where did you find the 20% off online? As I don’t see a code or anything on their website
  2. Wow that’s a good price... wish I had $100 laying around for a Sierra! Anyone wanna donate a rod to a fisherman in need? Haha?
  3. I tried it this evening and unfortunately it doesn’t want to pan out for me either. Can’t get a couple of them to work
  4. I got a NRS chinook when I got my first kayak. My thinking was that the most important thing is your safety equipment, and it is not to be skimped or cheaped out on. I’m glad I got one as it’s awesome. Very comfortable and I sometimes even forget to take it off when I get into the car!
  5. “Blue”basser86, I take it you like blue? Haha
  6. This is how it was supposed to be in WI, but they never went after the people that didn’t. All purchases are supposed to be taxed, if you aren’t charged them online, then you were required to do it when you file taxes. Interestingly enough, I believe there was a bill recently passed requiring all online stores to charge sales taxes for all states by a certain time. Might be why some do and some don’t have it in their systems yet.
  7. I just got one too. Mine says 6/19, but at least it’s not canceled. If you happen to want one sooner, ask a local Gander Outdoors to price match it so you can get it earlier. I asked mine and they let me as a one time thing, but said it was much below their cost. And I kept my order with Overtons, so I’ll have an extra for another family member. Worth a shot!
  8. I ended up ordering a Big Fish 105 for my brother. Fingers crossed we get a shipping notification and it shows up. Looking around online it seems like they are back ordered. I hope they don’t cancel the orders!
  9. As far as I know, they are all excluded. Did you find one that isn’t?
  10. Just to add a little. Keitechs and senkos seem pretty cheap with the code!
  11. Just a heads up as I saw another member mention it. Be careful and courteous if you use felt soles by cleaning them off thoroughly. Especially if wading multiple streams.
  12. I have problems with those around me. On one lake they love to try to slurp in a frog. Here’s one that choked down a live target. Crazy!
  13. That pile looks great! Makes me think I need a couple frogs
  14. With QuickDraw you can make your own maps. Other than that, I’m not sure on other differences.
  15. Too bad it’s not the striker plus. Would be nice to have QuickDraw. Still a great price though!
  16. How much did you snag those jigs for? Must have missed the sale! edit* never mind! Answered my own question!
  17. Let me know when you give it a try, I’ll follow behind and collect anything that might fall out ?
  18. I’ve got the same exact pfd in orange for my kayak so I’m visible for a song at academy last year ($54), love it! Anyway, I’ve been looking for a good blunt tip dive knife for it to fit the attachment point where you have your hemostats. Do you know if that gerber one you have would fit? Also, I like the pouch idea on there, does that attach right to that spot, or did you have to rig something up?
  19. Academy has all sizes of the Whopper Plopper on sale for $9.99
  20. Here’s a free $10 to Gander if it’s valid in your state and you can make it by the expiration date! https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/dh3d1.html
  21. I’m honestly not sure. I use everything I buy in the spring time sales and usually run out by fall. Try and save as many as I can and reuse what I can. On a slim budget that’s what you’ve gotta do! I pretty much take and use what I can get. It’s good to hear from others that they last a while!
  22. Wow. And I needed a new rod too. I wish I had an academy up here or a way to get a 734c
  23. Checked mine today and they’ve got nothing on sale unfortunately. Maybe soon!
  24. I wish I had an academy or an opportunity to grab a few on those things on there. Seems like the deals are always somewhere where I can’t get them haha!
