Are all polarized glasses the same quality of polarization?
I got a concussion exactly one year ago in two days. The biggest side effect fro mid was vision loss/ alteration. It is very hard to describe, but i can still see clearly, but i have almost no depth perception or ability to track with my eyes. I went to the eye doctor and he prescribed me pink polycarbonate glasses that enable me to see with 20/10 vision. Without the glasses i get terrible headaches and can't do much. I wear costa sunglasses in green mirror and blue mirror and they make a much bigger difference than the cheap ones, and they are much better for my eyes, so that is what i will stick with.

What seems to never work for you...
jigs and texas rigs. pretty much anything directly on the bottom like crank baits. most of my waters have weedy bottoms and id rathe have a drop shot suspend off the bottom that fish something in them.

Tungsten vs lead.
I am all about tungsten, the only time i don't like them is when i am skipping docks that have pontoon boats. tungsten is extremely hard and is loud when i make a bad cast and it hits aluminum pontoon boats. It is also annoying when the weights hit the boat which is also loud.

Favorite Jig to skip
speaking of pitch skipping, I can pitch skip with spinning gear like a pro, but can get a lure to skip on casting gear to save my life. it is one of the few things i have been struggling to learn, but will open up a realm of possibilities once i do. any tips?

Dock baits
flukes, senkos, tubes, bent ring crank baits (look it up), swim jigs, shakey heads, and spinnerbaits all work great

Light Wire Hooks For Dropshot
you are likely reeling too hard/have the drag to tight. you can avoid this by loosening your drag, using 6 lb flora and 10-15 lb braid, and not reeling as hard when you have a fish. just remember to set the drag so that the rod barely loads fully before line comes out. this will ensure that your drag isn't too tight or too loose. also, keep the rod mostly loaded or bent when fighting the fish. don't horse it in because you are using light line. on the other hand, you don't want to keep the drag too loose because the fish will throw the hook. Everybody has their favorite hook when it comes to drop shooting. i like to use a 1/0 ewg in cover or grass especially when i am fishing a worm. this keeps it from getting snagged. In very clear water, i downsize my hook to make the fish less finicky and more likely to bite. some say that smaller hooks make for better action in the bait. although i don't know this to be 100% true, it seems to make sense. think "use the smallest hook i can get away with without loosing fish. there needs to be enough room for the hook to enter the fish, and big plastics will close the gap of the hook making it harder to hook them. when a fish bites, i just raise the rod even more and start reeling. this will cause the hook to lodge itself in the roof of the bass's mouth and it will hook almost every time. I fish a drop shot in open water by casting as far as i can and letting the bait sink to the bottom. once the tungsten weight hits the ground, i reel straight in until all of the slack in the line is gone. from there is slowly drag the bait towards me in a line by lifting the rod straight up. i do this with out reeling. once i get to the 11/12 o'clock position i reel down until i am at a 30* angle from the water. all the while i keep the line fairly taught. repeat.

Tube or not tu'be
I just used the big salty zoom tubes about 4" id say from dicks and they work great. broke off all my jighheads so i rigged em stupid style, then fished em weightless on a 4/0 superfine ewg and texas rigged the nose and places the hook end freely in the tubes core. worked great around shallow docks and n grass. the ultra slow fall rate is a killer mid day.

Pitching advice
keep the bait parallel and close to the water for as long as possible

Estimate the weight
use the clip on scale, and i would guess 3-4 lbs, but that is an estimate and didn't catch the fish so i could very well be wrong. it is too hard to tell exactly from the photo as there is no object of known length within the photo.

What Pound Braid should i use?
12 lb mono or 3o lb braid will be the most versatile. if you fish clear water go with the mono, if you fish stained water use braid. if you fish heavy cover use braid. if you fish open water use mono. if you fish any combination of the to, use braid with a mono leader.

Quantity -> Quality
I already have two 7'3" mh and they are stiff enough to fish frogs with. Where i live the fish arent huge and i don't punch. the 7'6 would be for flipping and i can switch reels on the two and use the other for frogs

Quantity -> Quality
I currently have about 10 setups 4 spinning and 6 casting. I do value quality over quantity, but i have fallen for several impulse buys of equipment on sale. I am considering selling most of my stuff and replacing it with true quality. I buy almost everything at least 75% off so I think that i may be able to make money or at least not lose any. This is what i am considering. I believe this covers all the techniques that I fish. Am i missing any? I can go into depth of what how and where i fish, but i don't think that is necessary. I am looking at dobyns sierra rods, shimano curado reels along with my diawas, and suffix 832 braid and seaguar floro. shimano stradic ci4 fa spinning reels. the blue is what i own. What do you think? 6’6” M Spinning Rod 2500 Spinning Reel 30 lb braid / 12 lb floro 7’2” ML Spinning Rod 2500 Spinning Reel 10 lb braid / 6 lb floro 7’0” M Spinning Rod 3000 Spinning Reel 15 lb braid / 10 lb floro 6’4” M Casting Rod 7:1 Casting Reel 10 lb mono 7’0” MH Casting Rod 6:1 or 7:1 Casting Reel 15 lb floro 7’3” MH Casting Rod 8:1 Casting Reel 17 lb floro 7’6” MH Casting Rod 8:1 Casting Reel 50 lb braid

Having Trouble Catching Fish
There are tons of docks as well. Very few people really fish this lake hard. My friend and I are the only ones fishing from a boat on most days. The only problem is the amount of pleasure boaters on the lake.
