  1. about 2.5' between front deck and first seat I weigh 150 lbs thanks, and yeah, it makes sense, ill likely need to put the battery and my other gear in the back of the boat or stand In the back and use the tm in the front from there (power drive with 15' cord)
  2. I know most of your are going to say not to modify my 10' Jon, but I will be using it in small lakes and ponds in dead calm water when i don't want to launch my big boat/there is no ramp/it is too cold for the SUP. My boat is a 1036 Sears. I do need to replace the transom at some point. It has two metal benches and a front section that is like a standing platform. I want to make an elongated platform out of platform with carpeted plywood. I want a few hatches for storage, rod straps and maybe a pedestal seat. Will either use a 55lb thrust bow mount or a 55lb transom. What do you guys think? anything else? this is kind of what I want.
  3. how do you guys like to fish blade baits? I have the perfect bodies of water to learn I think, both at home and in MA, deep clear water with a lot of rock. No clue how to fish em or what color or rod or anything. Advice is appreciated.
  4. i know this is from a long time ago but any idea where i can find the arachnid rods? no longer sold on cabala's .com
  5. I want to get both of those reels! let me know what you think of them!
  6. they changed their coding this year so its either not possible, or extremely hard. seems they are manually updating it before each new deal is posted, according to @adrenalnjunky. Im sure this is the first place it will come up if someone figures it out Also, the Cabela's Arachnid is on sale for $105, it is probably the best deal under 175, let alone for 100$ it is a steal, lifetime warranty, *** bearings, and made by daiwa
  7. where did you get this? what model is the #? is it waterproof? thanks!
  8. when is seaguar tatsu bogo?
  9. never looked at that but it looks real good, only thing is i have two 6'6" mh fasts and i want casting distance will look into that rod though
  10. cabbalas tournament zx 7'1" m moderate if you never want to lose a fish again, with that setup, you can do anything fro finesse drop shot or 1/16 oz spinners to jig fish
  11. how are the tatula and zillion hlcs? also anyone tried the arachnid, i love mine way better than the zillion tws for more than half the price, even though ti isn't as sturdy it has lifetime warranty.
  12. Your setup is likely to heavy in power for bass, making it feel heavy when you fish. I would try to return the rod for a medium, the reel for a 25 or 30 and use at most 3o lb braid on a spinning reel. you will hardly ever need 40 lbs on spinning gear let alone to be able to break that... braid floats so its good for topwater which i assume is a rodent, and yet it is sensitive enough for soft plastics. that is what i would do if i were you. ps make sure you spool the braid correctly look up "how to spool braid on spinning reel" on google. hope this helps
  13. welcome back! I'm not sure we have met, but i look forward to having you around again, the more knowledge being spread the better!
  14. next thread: Using a fishing scale to weigh luggage
  15. ^ I contacted them starts the 7th
  16. That's what I was looking at, seems to be a great idea, and the way I have my boxes labeled, It will make it very easy.
  17. Here is how I currently store all of my tackle: 3x Double-Deep Open-Core 3700 (Baitfish, Worms, Craws/Creature) Bass Mafia 3700 (Terminal Tackle & Weights) Flambeau Zerust 3700 (Jigs) Plano 3700 (Crankbaits) 2x Plano 3700 weird divider layout (Swim Jigs, Day Box/Miscellaneous) Plano 3600 weird dividers (used baits) This system seems to be working out for me with the amount of tackle that I currently own. I want to consider getting waterproof boxes, because I have dealt with several rust issues this year. I also need good way to carry baits from the house to the boat and other boats as a co-angler. I also need a way store Keitech swing impact fats in 3.8" Thanks, Quarry Man
  18. Shoot me a PM if you get the chance
  19. Not trying to, if you want to meet up, i can show you the lake I fish, it is truly one of a kind, and i hope you like drop shotting (and catching 12" bass all day long).
  20. I have looked into making my own before, would you mind explaining how you make yours? Also, thanks for the advice. Thanks for all the help guys! This past year, I had top finishes in all of my tournaments due to spinnerbaits and chatterbaits, I also learned how to fish them nonstop for 4 straight days, nearly depleting my stock on a trip to Vermont fishing for bass and pike. I have realized that these two baits might need some attention from myself. Also, I think the jack hammer is very expensive, id only get one or two for tournaments. Thanks again, Quarry Man
  21. Here is what I consider the best chatter bait setup for under $300: Reel ($150): Shimano Chronarch Ci4+ 150 because it cast far, is lightweight, yet powerful, and is very smooth. Rod ($130): St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinnerbait (7' MH Mod-Fast) because it is well balanced and has the right power and action Line ($20): 17 lb Seaguar Invisx or 40 lb Sufix 832 I would most likelyy be throwing: Z Man Original Chatterbait around cover or places where I might get snagged/break off because they are inexpensive Z Man Project Z Chatterbait any time that I am fishing ope water, clear water, or places where I will not get snagged as much because of the detail and price Z Man/Evergreen Chatterbait Jack Hammer any time that I am fishing a tournament What do you guys think? Thanks, Quarry Man
