Upstate NY?
I will be heading to New York on Thursday to do some college visits. I will be available Friday and Saturday. I plan on visiting SUNY ESF SUNY Oswego, Syracuse, Utica, Ithaca, and maybe a few others. I am not bound to any schedule or location. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to fish with me? I am not interested in hiring a guide. I just want to join someone who knows the area. I am happy to drive to fish. Thanks!

Sad moment set in..
What gloves do you recommend for active casting in cold weather?

Dobyns HP spinning?
I understand what you mean. The nut that is used to tighten down on the reels seat, keeping the reel in place does not tighten enough to touch the other part of the reel seat. I have seen this before. It was with my stradic fa and n v by 31. It didn't bother me, but the reel seat broke when i over tightened it. If you send a picture that would help. If it bothers you, do something, if not you're fine, it might add sensitivity

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Can you deep crank milfoil beds? I fish a lake in ma thats deep and clear. Mostly rock bottom, but around 15-20' is a bunch of leaves and milfoil only on the bottom. I wanted to try deep cranking there.

The Physics Of Fishing
I was thinking of just citing the people directly. That would look more professional and still allow me to get the info. Its a shame how we know that this forum is very reliable, but I can't use it.

The Physics Of Fishing
I need info on centrifugal braking, magnetic braking, line, and fish shape, also why they jump. If you know about these topics and are willing to be a source let me know!

The Physics Of Fishing
Yeah, that sounds like a great idea for my experiment. My biggest problem so far has been finding reliable sources. I am not supposed to use .com at all. If i could, id just use this forum and id be done. Would any of you guys be willing to be direct sources?

The Physics Of Fishing
I am doing a project on the physics of fishing. I already have several ideas of how it relates to fishing, but wanted to see what you guys could come up with first. Thanks!

not trying to be dishonest, just wondering if they'd be willing to price match other falcon buccos to the ones i already bought. either way I'm happy.

The latest sale thread
Only one of the rods was $15.94. I price matched the other to get both for 16 each. If i went back with the receipt, do you think i could get the other rods that weren't exactly the same? I really like the falcon rods and I'm giving one to a friend.

How do you keep your tackle organized?
I use a bass mafia 3700 for terminal tackle. it is the best way to organize your hooks and weights. I then use various 3700 b0xes for all my tackle. My soft plastics go in plano 3700 double deep open cores. I am going to get some plano slim open to hold boxes when i am pond fishing.

Looking for first jon boat
Get at least 12' and a bow mount is all you need. transom is ok but a pain. MINN KOTA edge for shallow or power drive for offshore.

Idling with trolling motor down?
i think you can do it CAREFULLY. but don't \do it all the time i guess. I plan on doing it to mark fish or cover water really fast.
