  1. Tournament ZX it is a great rod. supersensitive, and the winn grip is great. lifetime no questions asked warranty
  2. ci4 its lighter and looks great. either reel will be great.
  3. Cabala's Tournament ZX 7'1" M Mod, best rod for treble hooks and light cores. extremely soft tip, light and great grip style.
  4. I guess that could work. I believe you are better off teaching her to reel faster and get a 6:1.
  5. any 7'1" Ml rod around a hunderdollars will work great.

I went on a trip recently and a lot of my stuff got rusty. I don't have a lot of money to spend on replacing stuff, but i want to use good gear and equipment. Can i still fish with the stuff. its not too rusty, but it is enough not to go back in the box
  8. Below I have a list of the baits that I am most confident in. I would like for you to give me the rod/reel/line for each lure. Not specific rods, but you can add that if you want. I am mostly looking for specs like gear ratio and line type. I think rods and reels should be matched to baits not baits to rods. Thanks! Confidence Baits Ned Rig - Usually fished on the fall, mostly in clear water during the spring. Drop Shot - I usually drag or shake a small worm in clear water in 15' - 25'. Finesse Texas Rig - Usually hopped off bottom with a 1/8 oz bullet weight, 1/0 hook, and Zoom Finesse Worm Finesse Swimbait - Usually reeled in 3' with a 3.8” Keitech, 3/0 EWG, and an 1/8 oz Bullet Weight. Finesse Swim Jig - Usually fished near docks and cover, but not in it. Light wire hook, mostly 1/4 oz. Walking Bait - I mostly fish the Ima Skimmer (3/8oz). Looking to get another Whopper Plopper too. 1/4 oz Spinnerbait - Used near cover and docks. I like 1/4 oz because it runs shallow. I prefer double willow. Soft Swimbait - Used in grass, 3/16 oz Superline Screwlock hook and 4.8" Keitech
  9. Great jig, i seem to go through them quick, but the hook up ratio is unreal. Im giving dirty jigs a try soon. What rod and reel and tips do you have? I use keitech trailers and skinny dippers as trailer. and a 6.3:1 with 10 lb mono and a 7 1 m mod rod
  10. 1/4 oz swim jig, 3'3 inch kitsch swing impact fat. great pond combo

  13. When you can catch fish on any body of water
  14. except the shippingis more than the rod itself
  15. I never had the same line on both at once, but i can remember generally how far i can cast. The arachnid is just so much smoother. I vary my casts so maybe thats it, lighter swings. thanks for the help.
  16. combine 2 and 3 combine 6 and 7. For heavy stuff, i think a 7'3" H or 7'6" Mh or H ought to do the trick. I use a 7' m mod for cranks with 10 lb mono. I also use it for slow twitching jerk baits and trebled topwater baits. The reason why a m mod is good for slow twitch is because it loads more and has give. its hard to work them fast but not impossible. if you have more questions and want to know my setups as a co angler, just shoot me a PM, ill give you all i know
  17. braid has no stretch, 20 lb is pretty weak for braid. I also use 15 lb braid on my casting reel, I have experienced this. try the palomar knot.
  18. My Cabela's Arachnid has better casting distance than my Zillion TWS. I can't seem to get my Zillion to really let it rip, any advice?
  19. wow thats really far. Update: no reels purchased yet, but I am considering getting one aldebaren or metanium, or two curado 70/ks. not sure which way to go.
  20. I have a Quantum Smoke PT casting reel that I just can't figure out. It this one (quantum smoke). I can't figure out how to make this reel cast well. I had it spooled with 30lb braid and also 10 lb mono. How do i set this reel up?
  21. How should i find the sweet line? all milfoil on the bottom. and mud/rock.the bank is very gradual and very very shallow.
  22. Any body have a chance to fish either one yet? My friend has a sponsorship card for 45% off. I was thinking of trying one out, not sure which one is better.
