  1. I'm getting to the point where I have almost all daiwas with a Shimano and a lews mixed in. I can get the best bang for my buck with either the fuego, ct, or sv tws so that's why I have been replacing my older reels with these. I don't have a problem switching between brands because with my lews it is a low gear ratio cranking reel and the Shimano is on a frog rod. Two techniques that I don't use a whole lot or even throughout the whole year. Where as my jig, Texas rig, finesse jig, spinnerbait, carolina rig, and shakey head combos I do use all year. I would say get Another ct or even a fuego, not because it's a daiwa just because of the deal that can be had.
  2. Where can you view that at?
  3. Northland tackle reed runner.
  4. I feel like that is the best set up you can get for $200
  5. I've night fished with a drop shot. Worked out surprisingly well.
  6. Or save a few bucks and get a tatula ct 6:1
  7. You can order ammo online as well...
  8. You're asking an awful lot out of a rod, treble hook baits and flipping. But if I were you I would spool up with 15-17lb mono/copolymer. Senshi, big game, cxx, yo-zuri hybrid.
  9. 6.4 or 7.3 depending on which rod I'm throwing it on.
  10. Cabelas zx 7'5 medium heavy crankshaft
  11. probably won't use the reel much while flipping. Pitching is a different story though. Any decent reel should be able To handle anything these days. If I can throw 1/4 ounce shaky heads with a 30 dollar baitcaster one that costs 300 bucks should be able to pour my morning coffee
  12. Wow. That's really good. Especially the shad
  13. That seems odd. Good luck with it though.
  14. Here's my question. How do we know that to fish, fluorocarbon doesn't glow like a lightning bug? Or that black actually looks orange? Etc.
  15. So confused. So they want you to keep the bass 12 inches and smaller or 12 inches and bigger?
  16. Well I wasn't really implying that you would. But just reiterating the fact that low gear ratio reels still can have a good amount of ipt because of spool size/capacity.
  17. And probably picks up line just as fast as most 7.1:1 reels. As long as you have a full spool And probably picks up line just as fast as most 7.1:1 reels. As long as you have a full spool
  18. Terminator pro series. Fat sack tackle flipping jig.
  19. Check dobyns website for refurbished rods. I feel like for 180 bucks there are a lot better options.
  20. It was in the low 50's yesterday and in the 60's two weekends ago. We would've gotten about 2-3 inches of snow today but it took awhile for it to start sticking so we ended up with ice and a dusting of snow over it.
  21. Been open since last Friday. probably about to ice up again for a bit. But just very slightly
  22. For 3/8 to 3/4 ounce 50Lb braid to 17Lb copoly leader or straight 17Lb fluoro. 1 ounce or more 65Lb braid. 3/6 to 5/16 12Lb fluoro
  23. Pm sent about a couple rods.
  24. I second the .5 ounce minimum weight to start. Then once you get better practice whatever you plan to pitch the most take that size weight plus 1/4 ounce and practice in the yard. The 1/4 ounce is used for weight of the soft plastic. My wife thought I was crazy when I was in the yard pitching a 3/4 ounce weight (i pitch 1/2 ounce jigs the most). She said there wasn't anyway a fish would bite that, it didn't even look like another fish or worm...I never told her any different lol
