I do, but im not in production currently. Do you make jigs currently. Its an easy modification with a piece of wire and a vice.
  2. I cannot decide what type of blade to put on this. There is alot of flash tied in so im leaning silver but do i go double willow or indiana. Ill probably shorten the arm. Ill be using this in a river along rip rap banks early season. Unless we get some substantial rain the visiblity is 3-4 ft right now, which is as high as this river will ever be.
  3. Thank you. Until i spend some time doing it, all i need is functional.
  4. I wonder if there is some sort of liner that could be put in. I just hate carrying bags. Atleast when bank/ wading
  5. Ive had problems storing them in plastic boxes though where they deform or even melt. Is there a type of box that wont do that?
  6. Thanks for the comments everyone. Im going to make a couple of my own but i will probably pick up a couple as well. I could see a 5” topwater glide being a ton of fun in skinny fast water in the summer.
  7. Another question. Im getting into A-rigs as well, would a heavy action flipping stick be able to cover flipping, a-rigs,and glidebaits?
  8. Im wanting to get into throwing glide baits for river smallmouth. Assuming 4-7in is my size range. Pluss under 2oz so i dont have to buy a large dedicated swimbait rod. What are your guys choices.
  9. Yes, i have had days where i started finesse, then went more aggressive and did better. It isnt as much downsizing or upsizing as it is presentation. I was convinced i would have the best luck being slow and methodical but didnt have success, but as soon as i got aggressive got nailed. Sometimes its burning a spinnerbait or ripping a jerkbait, but it could be switching from a finesse work to a jig im working fast and ripping off the bottoe.
  10. Ill bring one, you bring the other. Those smallies wont know what hit em.
  11. i absolutely love these threads and seeing the rabbit holes we go down. I am a notorious rabbit hole explorer nyself. ?
  12. I do stack my tails.
  13. I prefer palmering as i too feel like there is better action and profile. Definitely have an issue with quality marabou. I need to harvest another turkey. I got awesome plumes from the last couple and they had a really nice mottled coloration to them.
  14. I think there is a point where your lightest and heaviest just are not going to match up. A 1/16 oz marabou jig is never going to have a good feel on a rod that can handle a 3/8-1/2 oz spinnerbait or plug. I mean, its just too large of a range.

Thank you Glenn. Do you know where a person could find that material. I dont know where I got ziggy flash lol.
  18. Is there any difference in durability after curing? Ive only used pro tec and it gets beat up pretty fast in the rocks
  19. A few finesse jig ties and a couple blanks im working on.

Thank you Smalljaw. Ill check that out. Im wondering if the jig i saw was just christmas tinsel. But it looked really cool. This is on youtube. The video @Glenn made on here was a different material.
  21. I go with 2 half hitches withe the mono. Then 4 more half hitches withe braid over the mono tag end and braid mainline, snip mono tag end then 3-4 more half hitches with the braid. Snip it close then take a lighter and melt it down.

Im thinking he called it ziggey flash. I mean flashabou could work. Im not looking to accent the skirt. Im looking to replace a ful tab.
  23. Thank you @PhishLI. This is what i need to know. Alot of my fishing will be wading/bank casting for river northern and smallies. Otherwise fishing out if my 4ft shallow V. I probably wont go too much over 1.5oz. Also a good point about the mono. Ive been favoring braid to mono or fluero leader but with a faster action rod, def see the benefits of straight mono.
  24. I was thinking about ergonomics when i asked. Know i dont want to spend time wielding a broom flipping. Thats the info im looking for. So as fars as swimbait rod action goes, is heavy/fast the trick with something alittle softer than rated?
