Bass Pro Tour Live kick off
A couple years ago Luke Clausen made the top 12 in an Elite series event. They polygraphed all the final day competitors and Luke had an answer that flagged the test. He was asked if he received any outside information and he replied no. When they questioned him some more he recalled waiting to be seated for dinner when a local. started talking about where to go on the lake and what he uses. Luke told him that he was not allowed to get any outside information and the 1 sided conversation ended. Luke appealed the issue and appeals are brought to a BASS executive, a former Elite series angler and a current Elite series angler. All voted for Luke to be disqualified. Their reasoning was even though Luke considered the information not meaningful, he doesn't get to decide that so he should have reported the issue. I believe they reported that if he would have answered yes on the polygraph, his explanation would have been accepted and he would not have been disqualified. By not disclosing the information from the beginning, it cost him in the end. I watched on and off and liked the coverage. They will need to work out a few kinks but overall I'd say it was a big success. I personally did not like the social media lady. Something about her voice bugged me.

First two BPT groups revealed for next week's kickoff
The sharing of information stops on the first official practice day. There is no sharing of information between competitors during the tournament. Gary Klein addressed this on a different site. Bass Fan Under the “Tackle and Equipment” section, Rule 9.D states that “MLF Anglers can receive lures and other equipment from other MLF anglers up until 12:01 a.m. of the first official day of practice.” Additionally, under the No-Information Rule section, Rule 23.I states that “MLF Anglers are allowed to talk to other MLF Anglers about MLF event waters up until the first day of official practice.” The latter rule has prompted some anglers who’ve traveled and stayed together in the past to opt to arrange separate accommodations so as to avoid running afoul of the new rules. The polygraph is the ticket to keep the anglers honest. It's something that hangs over their heads Just ask Luke Clausen about his failed test with BASS that led to his disqualification from an event. The polygraph caught a discrepancy on one of Luke's answers. More questioning led to a Oh, I forgot about that one time... type of moment.

Tennessee fishing
I drive by that Bull Run Creek area everyday on my way to work. It looks great and several times a year the gulls will be smashing the baitfish near the bridges. I've seen them up by the railroad bridge and also down by the narrow bridge by the park.

Fantasy Fishing 2019 - Official Thread
I'll have at least one of the Canadians on my team as well. I think the new FLW Canucks are going to do well this year.

Aluminum Frog Mold anyone?
It is from Canada but have heard many good things about the quality of the molds as well as the action of the frogs. https://www.enforcerbaitmolds.com/product-page/4-cavity-weed-beater-frog-bait-injection-mold

- Seasonal help, please.
The bass just didn't end up in 3 feet of water. They were there because something they were eating was in and around that depth. If you can figure out what they are eating/targeting in the shallow water, it might help to add to your success. The baitfish in my lake seem to move to deeper water more based on the calendar than actual water temperature fromon my observations. We had a couple pretty warm Decembers and even though I could catch fish shallow, the majority of the fish were being caught deeper as the baitfish had moved to deeper drop offs along the main channel. This year my home lake is above its normal winter pool by about 5 feet on average. It is also a little warmer than normal. However, the large schools of fish(both bait fish and predators) are at the same locations they have been in previous years at the same time of year. The higher water or the slightly warmer temps have not seemed to affect them.- Can we create a new BR Rule?
It's a circular process. The new guy will start a new thread talking about how he likes senkos and the only response he gets is a link to the old thread about the same topic.- FLW
It was a pretty tight finish and I'm also glad for Terry. Rayburn fished great, even with all the extra water.- Tennessee fishing
I live in Eat TN right by Norris Lake. If I leave Norris, I'll fish Cherokee, Douglas and/or Chickamauga. I'm originally a Northerner, but now I'd never go back.- FLW fantasy fishing
It looks like they got rid of it. Anything related to fantasy fishing is 2018 or older on their site. I tried the contact us page but all the email links are dead. I sent a direct email and it was bounced back as well. Maybe it'll be back for 2020- MLF Starts This Saturday!
And so goes the problem with knowing who is catching them and what size they are. Some have even joked this was part of Boyd's intentions as that was one of his favorite moves when he was on the Elite series. I could also see guys using it as a way to eliminate water. If Hackney and Bobby Lane are lighting up the scoreboard with 3lbers, how many guys will just start flipping shallow because they "figured" out part of the pattern? I'm looking forward to their inaugural season and will interested in how things play out.- MLF Starts This Saturday!
I have the Mobdro app installed on mine and know that I can watch various channels but have not seen the outdoor channel on it. They do have CBS sports and Discovery channel. If you find something let me know and I'll do the same.- A back up plan
Prior to my first tournament I prefished pretty heavily and found this stretch of weeds that held a bunch of fish. Come tourney time we race to the spot only to find 2 other guys on each end. We would run back to the spot throughout the day only to see other guys fishing it too. So we had to go to a plan B which we didn't have but were forced to make up on the fly since we could not get to where we wanted to fish. So we kind of ran all over and ended up catching a couple good fish off a few different spots. When we got to the weigh-in everybody was talking about how everybody and their brother hammered that weedbed on the inside bend of the creek channel. Because of this the fish got spread out over 5 or 6 teams and we ended up placing higher than any of those guys. Looking back I can't believe that I was such a newb that I didn't even consider other people finding the same spot I did. I also got spun out for about the next hour because I put all my confidence on a spot and not on my abilities/instincts and knowledge. I learned so much more from that first tournament because Plan A didn't work out, than i could have if we got to the spot and started jacking them.- Spinner Bait Popularity
Welcome to Bassresource!! For murky/low vis water I like darker colors and colorado blades as they put off more vibration than willow blades. My tourney partner has this spinner bait with one chartreuse and one orangish/reddish colorado blade and he does really well with that color combo. I like the chatterbait better in the low vis water but you may have a different experience- FLW Fantasy Fishing
Whats funny is if you go to the contact us page; every email address is a dead link. FLW website has always been second rate, no surprises there.- A Crazy Trip To Brown Town
Awesome job!! South Holston is a feast or famine lake for me. Glad you were able to slam them also great write up on the largemouth from the other thread!! East TN is an anglers dream from the lakes to the rivers: smallmouth, largemouth and spots. Plus, there is always the chance to hang a big striper/rockfish. In the next month or 2, I'll be making several trips to Chickamuaga to try and break my PB on one of those FL strain/hybrid bass.- Marty or Big M
Hope that you'll share the pics when you get them. I love admiring the work of the lure craftsmen.- Chatterbait Thank You
I remember years ago i had what was called the Eaker shaker. (it won best of show at the 1998 icast) It was a blade and you had to attach it with a clip but you could add it to anything. First fish I caught on it was when I added it to a mister twister on a ball head jig.- Injector with a locking nozzle

That looks great!! Thanks for sharing - Bass Fishing Memes ***PG ONLY***
