St. Marks 1/9/09
Very nice Jason. They are a pain to clean but very tasty. Just be careful of the size limits. I don't want to have to come bail you out of jail.

2nd annual stump the mods posting>>aka Bustin on the Mods
I purchased a rod blank from Muddy the other week. How do I sand the cork down to fit the handle? I also bought a pack of trick worms dipped in his home made marinara sauce. I used the worms this morning and caught 3 fish up to 7 pounds and lost 4 in the weeds. It was a beautiful day out there on the water. Oh yea, the rod blank Muddy sold me is 8' and will be used for swimbaits but my rod locker in the boat only holds up to 7'. How can I modify the locker to accommodate the 8' rod? Will the rod work with a Shimano on it since it came from Muddy? Or should I put a Diawa on it. What are the differences between the two?

>>BR Lure Fun Season 2<<
Hmmmm, lets see. The lure cost 15 bucks but If I was worried about losing the money then I wouldn't send it out. It should be replaced with something if lost, even if it is a less expensive one. How does this sound? 1. If you lose the lure then you have to replace it with the exact one and have the new one shipped to the next person in line. 2. You may opt to buy a less expensive one but to make up the difference you have to wash a pair of Muddy and Burley's underwear, but that may be considered hazardous material. 3. Or perhaps have someone video you going to/into the tackle shop to buy a replacement while wearing the opposite sex clothing. Guys wear a dress and high heels. Or maybe dying your hair orange and green and have it video taped while dining at a nice restaurant. The video has to be played on here.

>>BR Lure Fun Season 2<<
Okay fellas/gals, I'm sending this crankbait out. It is a brand new Luck Craft RC 1.5. I had a hard time trying to decide which crank to send out since everyone fishes different types/depth of water. I really wanted to send out one that runs 6-8 but I figured that would be too deep for those restricted to shallow ponds. This lure will run to 4' and can be viewed here. It is the Copper Perch one. www.***.com/descpageHDCLUCKY-LCRCBDS.html# I recommend using #12-15 mono and be careful, the darn hooks are sharp. OUCH! Good luck and let's keep it moving. Doug. P.S. I'll be sending it to FishnDaddy first.

A nice one, on a tough day.
Very nice. I just got out of bed and looked outside. It's beautiful, blue bird skies and 67 degrees but I thought the fishing would be bad. I think I will take the boat out for the rest of the day.

Topwater bite was HOT today!
20 foot visibility, depending on sun position.

Tonights snack brought to me by Burley.
I checked my mailbox as I was leaving for work today and I find a package addressed to me from Burley. I thought to myself, , what could this be? A late Christmas gift or early birthday gift? And then I remembered. Oh sh**! I had mailed him some DVD's and hid a 12" black worm in the box . Now I was going to scratch my name off the address label and put the wifes name on there and let her open it because there was no telling what Burley sent, but I couldn't do that to the wifey poo. I went ahead, extremely cautiously, and opened it. Well, this is what he sent me. It looks horrible but smells rather sweet. It appears to be some kind of homemade Burley concoction. There are m&m's, cheerios, pretzels, wheat chex and some kind of foreign matter. I fed some of it to the dog about 40 minutes ago and will wait another 20 to see if he survives before I try some

Loud commercials
I have a setting on my T.V that will keep the commercials the same level as my program. Check yours out, if it's a newer t.v.

Willing to pay expenses for a trip day on the big O in a few weeks....
I believe I remember you asking this a while back. I can take you fishing on lake "O" but we have to go out of Bell Glade. I use a company vehicle to tow my boat and can't take the truck out of the county. I haven't fished Lake "O" since the water level dropped but fished it regularly before that. You don't have to pay for the expenses, just split gas money for the boat. I have a 19' Tracker with a 90 Mercury Optimax. Gas share won't be more than 12 -15 bucks. Doug.

Need help with senior project!
Yeah thats a really good idea. I just thought those others were both questions i would like to test anyways but line strength would be good too with a lot less variables to consider. I wonder what kind of materials i would need. David just did that one and posted it here. Maybe he can help ya.

Lake Ochechobee
Dude, I hope this isn't the case and I don't want to sound too negative but the odds are stacked way against you. Lake "O" is huge and can be a real bit**. It will probably be cool here in Feb. but keep your fingers crossed we don't get a cold front the night before your tourny. Here's what I would do and have rigged.. 1. Rod for topwater such as a spook or buzzbait. 2. Rod Junebug or red shad worm with 1/8 to 3/16 oz sinker. 3. Rod for rattletrap. 4. Rod for a jig. I would fish in 1-5 feet of water, concentrating in areas of the lake that have grass just below the surface or sticking up just above the surface. The bass may be bedding during this time to so you might be able to sight fish if the water is clear. Be careful venturing out into the lake without a GPS. It is very easy to lose your bearings out there. Try fishing the cuts that lead from the rim canal into the lake also. Pray for NO cold front and blue bird skies or else your in for some tough fishing.

You are an absolute pro at catching those carp. I can't wait to see what 09 brings us.

March Fishing Trip - Where?
As far as Florida goes, I would stay away from Lake Okeechobee unless you hire a guide. A newbie on that lake will usually equal a big fat ZERO. You have a much better chance of getting some big fish out of the Stick Marsh, especially if you hire George Welcome.

Invitation to those in Florida
I would love to come up north and try fishing like that, I think.

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like you said Muddy , it was Burley and his cousin dressed in drag washing your windshield. I think it's time for some eye glasses.

Is that the best Italian recipe you can come with for oatmeal? I thought you would at least have some finely sliced garlic and fresh Mozzarella mixed in.

Where is Avid?
I would think that if they were sponsored and advertised that notion here, they would then behave as a representative of that company, and act appropriately. BINGO
