Here are a few I dug up. Missing 2 more Abu's, A 5000 and 6000, both red.. I held the camera too close though. Here is my favorite old one. Shimano Bantum Magnumlite with fightin' drag. It has caught snook, tarpon, redfish, trout and bass. 21 yrs old. Ambassadeur 6000c , has caught hundreds of snook. About 25 yrs old. Diawa rated for 6-8 lb test. About 30 yrs. old. 1964 Shakespeare model GE. I never used it. A neighbor gave it to me years ago. That's all. I showed you mine so now let's see yours.

I use them quite often and have not had any problems. Some days I get hit and some days I dont, When I do get hit though They get hooked.

Does anyones hair stand up on the back of their neck when trailering their boat to the lake in heavy traffic. I was on my to an evening tournament that started at 6pm. I was enroute during rush hour traffic plus it was raining. Man, I had a major pucker factor everytime I stopped for a traffic light thinking someone on the phone not paying attention was going to eat my motor.

That's too cool. It is like you were sent by some mysterious force to go fish at that particular time and spot just to catch and help that fish out.

May thru September. Days I'm off work= 5:30 pm - 12:30am. Days I work= 11:00pm - 3:00am... Rest of the year ? whenever I have time.

I use them alot for saltwater species, mostly live bait. I've only used them with Senkos for freshwater. Just remember that all you have to do is just reel when you get the hit. no need to "set" up.

I think LBH and Valascus summed this up qiute well.. I got the same impression as you did LBH....I think the killing of the turtle was nothing more than someone had nothing better to do and was out screwing around. I can't imagine how much of a nuisance a turtle could be, But if i had to get rid of it then it would be more of a challenge and fun to try n catch it to relocate it than kill it. Just imagine if we could kill another human just cause they were a nuissance.
