Not My Trip - About a Bass Resouce member

Featured Replies

Tonight I was watching FOX 5 News and happened to see a very good segment called Wednesday's Child. This is usually about children that might not have life as good as most of us and only wish for the simple things. Well tonight's Wednesday Child was about a boy that wanted to go bass fishing. They showed him on the lake fishing and catching a bass. But the good thing was the person that took him out. He was great with this boy, encouraging and helping him enjoy this outing. The great thing was that the man with this boy was none other than Randall. I want to say thank you to Randall for putting the smile on that boys face. I know because a trip with Randall is all about fishing and having fellowship on the water.

I remember talking to Randall about this before as well.  If memory serves, I think he actually took this kid out fishing for this news story 2 years ago...

Very cool. 8-)

Thanks. I probably enjoyed that trip as much as any I have been on. He was a great kid, loved fishing, and was very polite and well mannered. He got excited over catching that small fish and when you think about the fact that he doesn't get the chance to go fishing you can see why. The people at Fox Five and Wednesdays Child do a great job of trying to get these kids adopted as well as making sure they have a good time doing things they love. Most would never get the chance to do things like going fishing that this program allows them to be able to do. If anybody knows anyone who might be looking to adopt a nice young man who loves fishing please pass the link on to them. I would love to hear that Chris has been adopted by a nice family who will take him fishing.

Now you got me thinking about a big brother program for the kids in these programs.  Here, in RI, it's called "Tuesday's child".  I bet there are kids in orphanages who would love to go fishing.......hmmmm

First off, Randall, I see why God Blesses you with such great action on the water.    You give back freely.     Good on you man.

I like to see things like this.  It makes you feel good. ;)

Now this is seriously heartwarming... of all the bad stuff you hear in the world today, its great to actually hear some good news once in a while.  The fact that it comes courtesy of Randall one of the members of the forum is even better!  I'm even more excited to hear that the kid actually caught a bass too  :)
