  1. I'm in the midwest, I fish smallish lakes in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Once I get my F10 rolling, I might check out the Fox River in Illinois. I will be using a trolling motor in the stern, and paddling.
  2. That's the most compact fish finder rig I've ever seen. Looks great.
  3. I think the aluminum oxide guides are the cheapest guides Fuji makes. I think it’s a bummer they went with those guides. I think the Fuji Fazelite guides are really excellent, and are very reasonably priced. They should have gone to those instead. Not all of the St Croix models are tip heavy. However some are. I would never buy a St Croix without holding it first. I had two legend bass rods that were so tip heavy they really bothered my wrist, but I also have two Legend Walleye rods that are incredible.
  4. The 7’1” cork Tatula spinning rod is an amazing rod. It’s a ML with a soft tip, but has good backbone and a beautiful taper. Best balanced rod I have. Very sensitive too.
  5. I'm a fisherman, no hunting for me. Got any photos of you fishing rig?
  6. Yeah, that's just about where I am too. I definitely want an anchor trolly though.
  7. I thought that was my thang!
  8. Champion 705c whopper plopper, big spinner baits Champion 702c poppers, small belly weighted swim baits, wacky stickbaits Fury 735c 7” Keitech, r2s 168 Fury 664c kind of my beater rod crankbaits, chatterbait, spinner baits
  9. By the way the Champion 705c MagHeavy is a great rod. Has lots of applications.
  10. I got it, sorry. I have a Champion 705c and it is rated as a MagHeavy, I just figured the 753c would be too.
  11. The Sierra 735 is a MagHeavy https://www.sportsmans.com/fishing-gear-supplies/fishing-rods/casting-rods/dobyns-rods-sierra-casting-rod/p/1447173?channel=shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQiA962BBhCzARIsAIpWEL0rmA5SWTnzjIPMGhTxMtN1xM-DNe-2TxNRggl-JtvtOxj9HozQ9k0aAn8FEALw_wcB Not sure what you’re reading, but calm down. It’s a MagHeavy the same as the fury and champion 735c rods Go look at Tackle warehouse, it’s a MagHeavy
  12. A 6'6" ML St Croix is the perfect rod for what you want to throw with it. You should buy some 1/8 and 1/4oz bitsy bug jigs, with a 2" curly tail grub on it. You will clean up!
  13. That's a cool looking bait! What is it?
  14. Too bad St Croix didn't use better guides on these rods. The Concept O guides are below the excellent fazelite guides Fuji makes. Old school deep pressed aluminum oxide guides on what seems like a very nice rod.
  15. Called Victory https://stcroixrods.com/pages/victory
  16. The 150 is fantastic reel! Solid as a rock. I never have any issues with the size or shape, I find it very comfortable for a larger reel.
  17. 705c Champion is exactly what you are describing. Dobyns actions, as you know are on the light side. Even though the 705c is rated as a MagHeavy it's not a broomstick at all. I haven't fished a Kaden, but I do own a 705c, and it would be a good choice.
  18. I fish some lakes that have lots of 20"-35" pike mixed in with lots of bass. Years ago I started using braid, and tying an FG knot to 12" of 30lb or 40lb fluorocarbon, and I have never been cut off. I fish jigs, jerk baits, spinnerbaits, just about everything. It works out great.
  19. Strike king bitsy flip. Inexpensive, great hook, compact size. Add a super Chunk jr. It’s the best early season jig for me.
  20. That raising the prices, then switching to what will probably be a less expensive blank, and keeping the price increase is so lame. I’m not expecting the price to go back down. I checked out on kistler a while ago, so it won’t have any impact on me.
  21. Putting this here for reference. I can confirm both the 844c and 843c Loomis tips are 6-5.0 size if anyone needs to get a tip top for their rod.
  22. Paca Chunk -when I want action Super Chunk Jr-less action both because they can’t ch tons of fish.
  23. I prefer Red label as a leader. The slightly stiffer line works better for me as a leader.
