Line Reviews?
I would only read line reviews for a laugh. Everyone is so hyperbolic in reviews.

NuCanoe F10 ordered last night
Dipping into my first Kayak, went with the F10. I'm going to be using it with a trolling motor. I used a friends last year for a day and was blown away with how stable they are. It wasn't a fast boat, but paddled pretty well. I added the anchor trolly system, motor mount support, and a paddle to start with. Anyone who has this boat recommend any other of the stuff they offer? I wanted to start with this gear, and see what I might want to add after fishing it a while.

The 2021 F12 boats have added support to prevent any hull flex. The F10 hasn't changed in the 2021 model

Phenix Feather vs M1
Would you say the MLF Feather is a similar rod to the 852 Loomis? Maybe more similar to a 842 MBR?

It is a new rod line, in the $180-$220 range. Read it for yourself. Not sure why you’re complaining, they seem like it will be an interesting, made in the USA line of rods.

Daiwa JDM people! Daiwa 19 ALPHAS CT SV uses
Hello Thinking of dipping my toes into Diawa JDM the world. Would a Daiwa 19 Alphas SV tw be a good place to start. I found a nice one for around $250. What type of uses would this reel be good for? Is it more than just a light bait reel? Thx

Medium Extra Fast uses
I agree with the other responses. I do however think it would be cool to throw an 1/8 to 5/16 spinnerbait. I have two Loomis 852c JWR and they are some of my favorite rods to use. Great for weightless senko, small jigs (1/8-5/16), poppers, light T rigs are great on it almost always 1/8 and 3/16 and a 3.5" beaver, and 3.5" swimbaits.

If you had 3-4 setups...
For four Loomis rods I would pick these: 1-852c JWR 1-853C JWR 1-843c MBR 1-844c MBR You can get a lot done with these 4! This is my rig , plus I add a spinning setup too.

Best Shimano reel for jerk baits?
I regularly use 20lb 832 and have never had that issue. I’ve caught some 7 and 8lb catfish too. Plenty of 3-4lb bass too. Maybe be you reel in loose line?

How much is too much?
Some lakes I fish have lots of different types of areas, so in open rocky areas I use lighter gear, when I get to weedy areas I use heavier stuff, and by the laydowns/flooded timber I breakout the next step heavier stuff. So I usually bring 6-7 when by myself and 5-6 with a partner in my small boat. It also changes throughout the seasons too.
