  1. Do you have braided line on it? If so did you use a backing of mono? If you didn't use a backing the braided line has nothing to grip onto and is just spinning on the spool when pressure is applied.
  2. They are fantastic jigs. Not just because they are a great price, but they catch tons of fish. If you want them to last for over 50 fish wire tie the skirt on after you get them. I always do it and they last for a very long time. I have an old post that I showed a jig that was beat to hell, with over 50 fish caught on it. One of my favorites.
  3. You’re describing the bitsy flip jig
  4. I did. I didn't find anything other than the normal amount of people have issues with them, as any company might have a bummer rod here and there.
  5. I’ve never owned one. Do they as a brand break often?
  6. I end up with multiples of every lure just in case.
  7. It's good line, but it's bigger than Power Pro at the same strength. Both are solid lines
  8. Was your superglue dab big enough to make a little clump? Could have been that causing your issue. I'm an FG knot guy chiming in. haha
  9. I agree, it’s not just with fluorocarbon line, it’s with all gear. Any time sponsors are in the mix real opinions go out the window.
  10. I sometimes retrieve tubes with a slow steady retrieve similar to a hair jig presentation. Cast it out, let it sink, then a slow steady retrieve with an occasional light twitch.
  11. Yesterday I was throwing swim jigs on braid/leader and had a a mystery knot in my spool. My jig went flying when my leader broke. I thought I had a great cast, like 300 feet. Not the case.
  12. The Tatula 150 is super smooth. No gear feel at all. It's smoother that the three Curado K reels I have.
  13. These are bummer days.
  14. T Mac and Trick worm are my two jams.
  15. I prefer yellow braid to mono leader for jerk baits.
  16. I consider myself mostly a jig fisherman, I will T-Rig, top water and other stuff of course, but I love to fish jigs. I tend to use limited colors like black/blue, green/purple, and brown/greens. Swimjigs a shad pattern and a bluegill pattern. My question is when you buy jigs do you lay out the dough and get a large grip, or buy them one or two at a time as you lose them? I spent around $150 during the last TW sale, mostly on jigs, and I'm still good for the rest of the season and beyond. I think I prefer having them around, and saving $, instead of buying a few at a time.
  17. Different in every lake. You could probably make a guess in your local lakes by fishing and seeing what ratio you catch.
  18. The Rapala BX Brat is around $10 and a really great squarebill.
  19. Fat Albert Grubs in white, green pumpkin (purple or red), chartreuse pepper is great for Small Mouth.
  20. I have two. Fantastic reels in every way. Nice shape frame to palm it, very smooth retrieve, great easy to adjust casting, and a really nice spool. Also there are some on eBay right now for $129.00
  21. Original Power Pro in 10lb yellow! It’s so versatile. I use it for so many techniques. I also love 8lb PP with 8lb red label for ned rigs......
  22. I always wondered why Pro fishermen said flouro didn’t stretch, and still say it.
  23. I go back to the first gen Stradics. I used them for over 10 years and sold them for the exact price bought them for. My stradic Fk and Tatula LT are both better, lighter and have tighter tolerances and in general operate more efficiently. My old shimano bantam is slow and not the smoothest, but at the time it was tops. I have to say new reels are better for me.
