Deep husky jerk
I sometimes enjoy everyones opinions on gear that is the best, worst, falling apart, garbage, beautiful, and ugly. So much stuff catches fish for everyone.

Cool. I heard the bodies break/crack along the sides. I've never had one.

Deep husky jerk
Haha....Rapala hater alert!!!!!! I myself have never had one issue with any Rapala baits in 35 years. Bad luck over there. I have some regular Husky jerks that have been mangled by bass and pike, that have had the hooks changed many times still rocking. They are all scratched up but catching fish.

tying feathered trebles
I want to tie some feathered trebles for my Spook Jr's. Any advice for materials to get. Type of feathers (or any other material), thread, finish to protect the thread. I have a vise I use to tie bass jigs already.

Best Jig Brands
I have great success with War Eagle flipping jigs. They are really good at coming through wood too. I never had any issues hooking fish. I'm not seeing them at that price. Sale must have ended.

Best Jig Brands
Hello Where would you suggest getting jig heads w/weedguards to assemble jigs? A buck a piece sounds good. I like the War Eagle flipping jig. TW sells them for $2.89ea. They are tied with wire and have rattles. very well made jigs for a great price.

New tatula rods and reels
I have a 6'6" medium Tatula (new cork handle style) paired with a Tatula LT 3000 and it's the lightest most balanced rig. It's great for tons of different applications. Check Ebay there's some for $98.00. fantastic rods. I have a TTU Tatula 100 that is super smooth feeling and really nice but seems loud when reeling. Kind of like a gear on gear sound. It's smooth just a little noisy. You know what could cause that? Maybe something is screwy in mine? I also have a new Tatula 150 that is super smooth and quiet. Any ideas?

Deep husky jerk
Great. That was exactly what I was curious about. I will only be casting and retrieving as a jerkbait.

Does the Lucky Craft JAPAN Pointer 100 Suspend the same as "non-Japan" Pointer 100? (UPDATE)
Hey I asked about them a while ago from that ebay seller and got this reply. "We still have Staysee 90SP ver. 2. This is the new model, Lightning Staysee 90SP. There is no version 2 in Lightning Staysee model." So it is a different lure, I'm not sure what the difference is but the Staysee 90 that is $9.99 from that seller is called a Lightning Staysee 90SP

Deep husky jerk
I’ve been using HJ12’s forever with great results. I think it’s an excellent jerkbait. My question is, is the deep down version a good jerkbait? I see tons of walleye people love to troll them. My use would be more as a traditional deep jerkbait, casting it for bass. Anyone have experience using the deep down Husky Jerk as a jerkbait for bass? thanks

Spinning rod for smallmouth
The St Croix Legend Tournament Walleye 7' ML would be perfect for you. I have the 6'6" model, and I use it exactly for what you described and it's great. Super comfortable rod.

BPS Micro Lite Ultra light w/ Micro Pflueger President
I've been buying for years with a CC no problem. BUT if you are worried you can use PayPal but it seems most sellers ask for a small fee to use PayPal.

Did switching to flourocarbon get you more bites?
I mostly fish McCoy Copolymer on my casting rigs except for frogging which I use PP 40lb braid. I use 8,10, 15lb PP braid on all my spinning rigs with a McCoy Copolymer OR Trilene XL leader tied on. Last year I switched to 6, 8, 10, 12lb InvizX Flouro for leaders. I didn't notice any more bites, but I did notice knots were weaker, especially with the 6 and 8lb InvizX. I didn't really have an issue with knot strength with the 10 and 12lb InvizX, and I did like the thinner diameter for equal line strength the InvizX has, but I'm not sure the finicky flouro knots are worth the benefits. I ended up using the 6 and 8lb InvizX like a size lower rating on my rigs. For example, I use the 6 in place of 4lb for ultralight stuff and the 8lb in place of 6lb for light stuff. I find that the knot strength using the McCoy Copolymer OR Trilene XL is so great and worry free that I'm going to go back to it as soon as I use up my InvizX line.

Ark Sniper casting rods....experience?
I bought one of the ML spinning versions when they were on sale in December from TW. It's an amazing rod. Really well made, light, balanced and sensitive. I don't have experience with the casting rods, but the spinning rod is really nice.

Split Ring Pliers are Too Big for Smaller Split Rings
Yellow handle Texas Tackle brand are the best for small split rings all the way to med/large. I never have to open big saltwater or Musky size rings and these 4" work well for everything.

Bandit 100 hook style
Hello I just picked up a few Bandit 100 after not buying them for years. I bought a large grip of them years ago, and needed to replenish my stock. I noticed the hook style is different, they used to have a round bend style hook. Anyone else notice this change? The new hook style is on the top (Bluegill), and the older one is on the bottom (Yellow)

Tatula 150
Been a minute since you posted this. I have both a Type R and a 150 and have used both of them side by side. I would not say the Type R is smoother. They are similar feeling reels. The 150 is a little larger and heavier. Both cast great and work really well. The 150 is a really nice reel.

Older Shimano Bantams from the 80's
These show up on Ebay frequently. Keep an eye out and you can find a nic clean one. They usually need new drag washers. Good luck.
