  1. That sounds super fun. Good luck!
  2. Ha, not laughing at you but laughing WITH you. What an awesome photo. LOL I tipped last year as well except I lost an iphone.
  3. Get that finesse rod out and tie a ned rig on the end of it. It's the anti-skunk master. You can catch big, small, and everything in-between on it. I'm about 99.9% positive I've never been skunked on it. Honestly, not exaggerating. Now, have I thrown it this year? No. I prefer to torture myself and use "funner" lures.
  4. Ah man sorry to hear this. Hopefully things turn around or you can find something different.
  5. Yep, those are the ones. Not expensive and work well.
  6. I have the little blue handled Cuda’s. Very pleased with them and would highly recommend.
  7. 2025 fishing I really can't fish in the spring. But I had a heck of a June and then July and August have been pretty uneventful. Had a ton of rain/storms and extreme heat. When it wasn't storming and hot as H E double L the water was like coffee. I was looking forward to September but unfortunately it's been a repeat of August. I'm going to be a fishing fool in a week or so. Need cooler temps and the water not to look like Mountain Dew on steroids. 2025 life For the most part I'm fairly healthy. On the outside I look fit as a fiddle, but on the inside I got what Wilford Brimley would call the diabeetus. Family is healthy although I do have aging parents. Most excitement of the year is that my oldest (daughter) got into medical school at the University of Iowa. Extremely difficult to get in to. GO HAWKS!!!!!!!! Other two kids are doing good. Oldest son is in college on the golf team and our youngest is still in high school. Work is good. Don't love it but it pays the bills. Hoping to retire early.
  8. I wasn't even thinking new but that's a decent drop. Enough to actually debate going new. I'll have to start doing some looking.
  9. My local lake on Sunday. 🤮
  10. Was able to pick this girl up. There's a chance it could lead to a divorce. If so, I blame @Bluebasser86. #BabyBoss #NeedAGoodDivorceAttorney #ThisThingBetterCatchABigBass
  11. I need to do something myself. I hate how some of these rods don't come with keepers and I don't like my current system which is hooking the bait to the top of the reel. Two reasons. One, it seems like the hooks could damage the line. Two, it can scratch my expensive reels. Yes, they are supposed to be equipment but I still like to keep them as nice as possible.
  12. Me walking away after I realized this thread wasn't directed at me.
  13. I originally was planning on just a "How's Your 2025 Fishing Going?", but then I figured it's a time for anybody to share how their year in general is going. So you can answer however you please. How's your 2025 fishing going? Or How's your 2025 going?
  14. Sounds like he wants to throw some dice at the Casino.
  15. U-40 is cheap, rods are not. I’d just replace it or risk running the chance of screwing up a rod.
  16. Good question. I'd say something along the lines of a Lund 1875 Pro V Bass boat.
  17. Sounds fun. Good luck and don't be a stranger. AKA Share your catches and stories with us!
  18. Is there historically a better time to buy a boat? I'm a midwest guy and wasn't sure if it mattered. Yes I know, the best time to buy is NOW (or NEVER). Winter? THANKS
  19. I 100% agree. But I'll let someone else be the test "dummy". I don't want to be the one that says, "Well chit, I shouldn't have thrown my new $150 swimbait on THAT line".
  20. NEVER a dull moment when fishing in a kayak. I think every time out God is testing me.
