Backyard Bass W/3Yo Son
Its been raining all day here, but I was able to get out to the backyard to do a little bass fishing with my 3yo son, Adam. We weren't having much success and were about to give up, but I made my last cast and hooked up a nice bass on a Spro frog soon after splash down, I gave Adam the rod after the initial hook-set and he did the rest of the work, He was so excited when he finally got it to the shore that he kept say he caught a big TI_LA_PI_TA, because that is usually what he catches using dough balls.

97 Jetta Help....again :(
You are on the wrong forum go to VWVORTEX.COM, it saved my tons of frustration when I had my VW Jetta w/ a stage 3 APR kit on it, that thing would always have an issue.

Spinnerbait Losses
Mudfish, too many fish and too big of fish, I hate cheap wired spinnerbaits! Also, pickerel, they end up cutting line and ruining baits at time, I guess like pike.

Show your ride...
No carpet, just like the Ranger Intracoastal and other models that Stratos and Triton have or in Stratos case had. You are right about the sun reflection, if you don't wear sunprotection you end up looking like George Hamilton.

Deals On The Revo's
Hope they don't cheap out and drop quality to lower price point like mmmmmm SHIMANO! Really love my Skeet Reese Revo and Premier!

Does Charlie Moore Know How To Fish?
I have met and talked to Ike several times at bass tournaments and iCast, and can tell you the guy is a class act in his attitude towards fans, answering questions, and overall attitude. I have only briefly met Ish and have never met Charlie so I cannot speak about them, but if it were negative I would keep my mouth shut since it is hard to judge people in the public eye based on brief encounters

Used Cars
I would stick to your original choice of MDX, do a cost calculation of how much you will actually spend over the lifetime by using higher octane gas vs. the cost savings of buying lesser brand vehicles. Also remember that higher octane gas sometimes give you better MPG than lower octane. Have you considered a Nissan Pathfinder? I have an 2009 Pathfinder that we use as our family transporter and it is great, I get about 17-19 MPG depending on conditions and it has a 3rd row seat.

Dobyns Rods
Love the rod action, but I have popped many guide inserts though, more than any other rod I have owned.

Shamano, Not The Quailty They Used To Be???
Chicken and egg argument. When I heard what was going on to Shimano's Curado and Chronarch line, I scooped up the later models quickly, knowing that they were "better" than the next model year. Shimano's mistake might have been upgrading quality and in-turn price on the models, effectively taking them out of the competitive price range, but by slightly lowering quality and dropping price point significantly they have made some buyers, such a myself take note. I would agree on your statement of buying the Chronarch, but why not just say, buy an Ebay new condition Curado E series and save. As time goes by, it will be a moot point however just like the chicken or egg.

Smallies, Poker & Beer
Now if you could only figure out a way to make the brown gold into poker chips, you'd be ahead! Tight lines!

Help Needed For Fishing Lox
Find weed edges particularly eel/ribbon grass that trail off into deeper canal, cast parallel to those edges right as it drops to deep water and hold on. Cover water fast with spinner-baits, shallow cranks, and lip-less cranks.

Long Sleeves, Hot Weather???
Long sleeve technical fishing shirts in light colors (light blues, whites and tans) along with a buff face and neck cover and a hat help tremendously in the heat. I even wear SPF gloves with the fingers cut out of them. Think Shaw Grisby type look and you'll know what I mean!

Any Tallahassee Florida People?
I use to live there in the late 90's and the best lakes were Talquin, Iamonia, and Lake Jackson at the time. Also did great fishing ponds/lake in and around Killian, Summerbrook, and Golden Eagle if you know someone that lives there. Also, Lake Seminole is not that far away. Also, I believe that there was a place at lake Miccosukee (Sp?) was a cool place to rent a boat and fish, that place just looked fishy!

Why Does Stuff Gotta Be This Way?
Glad to hear that everything worked out. After reading some of the post I can tell you that some people as employees don't understand the ordeals that their employer goes through and some employers don't fully appreciate their employees. With that said owning your own business especially since you have a trade job should be your long-term goal, but just remember when you make decisions to reflect back on your experience working for someone and being the employee. Empathy, communication, and transparency help employee/employer relations tremendously.

Counting The Days....quitting Sucks
Eric, Can't really give you as much encouragement as you already have, but my brother's mother-in-law smoked until it killed her. She basically drowned in her own lungs while everyone including me watched, so don't end up going out that way, it is horrible to watch. When are we going fishing?

If You Won The Lottery...
I manage money for a living and I have a windfall millionaire who won and hasn't blown his 37M, yet, so I understand what needs to be done to protect the money. Most lottery winners, professional athletes, and celebrities unfortunately have no clue.

R.i.p. Jose Wejebe
I met him twice and both times he was approachable and informative, its a shame he passed. He was a great angler and well known in South Florida. http://www.naplesnew...rglades-city-p/

If You Won The Lottery...
1. Form a LLLP, with 4 limited partners (wife and my siblings/parents) and a general partner (living trust in my name) using a reputable estate lawyer 2. Leave a certain percentage based on winnings in a living trust for my immediate personal use 3. Hire a reputable CFP/CFA to have a diversified investment plan with the primary focus being on cashflow generation and secondary as principal growth to create a legacy for future generations 4. Create a charitable trust so my moral obligation to society is met, notice I said my moral obligation, not an obligation 5. Travel, play, and party the rest of my life off. Some fishing/jhunting dreams: 1. Have my own custom built 50-100 acre lake custom built by Bob Lusk 2. Hunt free range big game all over the world with a bow and/or rifle 3. Fish Brazil for peacocks on an annual basis 4. Have a marlin slam within 1 fishing season 5. Have my own managed ranch or lease one with a emphasis on wing shooting (quail, duck, and doves) 6. Fish 3 to 4 days a week instead of 1 to 2 7. Hire Manabu Kurita to take me fishing on Lake Biwa for 1 month everyday possible during peak season 8. Have a lake front house on Falcon or as close to as possible 9. Have a lake front house on Okeechobee with canal and main lake access 10. Make it a point to have an inshore slam every year while in my Keys house Additional Boats I would own: 1. Yellowfin 17 skiff (Technical Flats Boat, in the keys) 2. Cabo 45 Express w/Tuna Tower (Port in North Palm Beach and the Keys) 3. Seahunter Tournament 35 4. Modify my current Bullet 21 XRD 5. Have a Ranger Z22 at my Amistad or Falcon House 6. Have a Custom Big O boat at my Lake Okeechobee House 7. HIre Dwight as my full time captain
