  1. This match was followed by the annual WHITE PARTY!
  2. Umm, other than it being illegal in certain States to use it is a cool looking bow mounted range finder that adds bulk. Ask your local pro shop if they mind if you shoot with a it on your bow for a bit and see how you feel about. The Matrix is a beautiful light weight bow and adding that extra off centered weight may not be to your liking. Stick with a traditional archer rangefinder and you should be fine. Also, in field use it may take a bump. For target shooting it should be fine though, not sure if tournament bodies allow for its use. How is your bow setup?
  3. Isn't he the same dude that ended up in Bass Times or Bassmaster as an ambassador to the sport for people with disabilities?
  4. d**n I may head to the refuge after the rush hour 9 or so till 3-4, if you are interested.
  5. The grass restoration is a key, for that place!
  6. Tarpon fishing is a thrill, anything under 70lbs is tons of fun over and its WORK! 25lbs are a BLAST!
  7. Best lenses for my eyes: 1. Sunrise/Yellow (Best for overcast and dawn/dusk) 2.Cooper or Amber (What I use 80% of time) 3. Gray (Driving or bright sunny days) Mirror tints are great for white out conditions or blue bird skies in deep water salt or fresh, but I try to stay home if that is a choice.
  8. Daiwa Zillion JDM Shimano Chronarch Abu Revo Skeet Reese
  9. Here are Dale's results at Ansin: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1295360275/8#8
  10. Don't limit yourself to the Stick Marsh/Farm Pond area, try Ansin Garcia of the wind is blowing and Blue Cypress. You should do well since early Feb to March is usually good.
  11. I have lugged my WFO backpack just about everywhere from canals to the everglades trips to county parks and beach trips and LOVE IT, tried all the impostors with the cheap zippers and materials from Browning to BPS models and they could not hold up! You won't be disappointed! http://www.wfosportfishing.com/backpackdetails1.htm
  12. x2 Brother in law has a Honda which is nice, but when it comes time for service he has to make a haul! Also, I would strongly consider maxing out the HP on the boat, since riding around with a engine at lower RPMs with more horsepower usually saves you more on gas than using more RPMs on an underpowered boat hull. Its not always about the top end, but efficiency.
  13. To bad the DOLPHINS committed to Sparano for 2 more years >
  14. I hope this game is the longest game in history (3 over times or more), where every starter gets eliminated do to injury or fatigue and the game is decided by a 2nd string punter kicking a field goal only to miss and have it bounce off the post and have a 3rd string line man walk it all the way back for a final score of Steelers 10 and Packers 3.
  15. The Big O is going to be great the next couple of years as long as SFWMD doesn't mess it up.
  16. Usually a bit stiffer for abrasion resistant. I like Seagur for strict leader material and 100% Flouro for mainline.
  17. Last year I lost some fish due to the knot (Palomar) slipping out of the hook eye loop with braid. I tried Trokar hooks with the welded hook eye, but hated the points on them since they would bend too easily. So I have been using the braid knot which gives the knot more bulk and keeps it from sliding and getting through hook eye.
  18. Love my Cumara, great rod!
  19. Braid is not a must, but its on most of my rods for techniques I use in Florida. As with anything new, there is a learning curve and once you get past it, braid will improve you fishing. Basically, its a tool that can help you be a more successful angler at times and as with any tool, you must know when and how to use it. Its like asking if pitching is a must, the answer is no, but without it you are limiting yourself.
  20. Capt Shane is a must for the Glades If fishing out of Roland Martin I like Steve Daniels. North end: http://www.southfloridabassfishing.com/ Angie is your LADY!
  21. I figured it be right up your alley ;D, may sell my Jon boat setup if I like this too much
  22. Not sure any (peas) survived in Palm Beach Gardens, between last year and this year.
  23. This quote rings true and from what I knew of Hugh I believe he will be prevail after serving his time. I can't blame Hugh's son, Scott, from coming to his defense regardless of whether its right or wrong. Can we get a good night on this Glenn?
