  1. Full curl decoys, by drop zone decoys are awesome.
  2. Watched some segments while trading today and liked his take on Florida Lakes vs. the rest of the country and how you actually have to fish them to know where to go and catch fish. Need to know migration routes and such. Mostly seemed liked he pitched the bunched up mats, BORING if you ask me, but its better than sitting on a lake with the wind blowing 30 knots.
  3. Nice heavy stable boat, as long as you trailer it and don't plan on carrying it like the riveted hull jon boats you should be fine.
  4. Thinking of going Monday or Tuesday. Most likely leaving Monday afternoon, staying overnight to fish Tuesday morning until mid noon? All depends on wind and front conditions of course. If interested shoot me a PM.
  5. There goes the broke anglers, darn they are more fun to fish with. ;D
  6. It's global cooling, or is it warming, let me change the terminology to climate change....and say it is caused by humans!
  7. Would anyone be interested in going to Mexico for a El Salto Trip in Early NOVEMBER? P.M. me!
  8. I run MalwareBytes, AVG, and Spybot Search and Destroy. Have had no issues ever, EVER! I do the same thing for all my families computer's and only once have they had an issue, the installed NORTON! Guess what they are all free. Its not an enterprise solution, but works for most folks good luck.
  9. Fat sows are on the beds, I figured the cold water would stop them, but just looked at results of Everstart event and stringers were FAT! Anyone, headed out there this week?
  10. Nov 7th thru the 13th then, I am in who do I give my money to for group rate, Eric maybe we can get a S. Florida group together. Let's as some fellow forum members and other tree catchers ;D. Let's make it interesting chip in $100 or so buck each for big fish of the trip.
  11. Goobers I could not even catch BLUEGILL with bread on the backyard by the fish feeder with my son, so don't be disappointed that front has them scared. I love prepositional phrases!
  12. Gotta love those residential lakes ;D, welcome to the forum and GREAT CATCH!
  13. I am up and can get a couple of fellas to go. Would like to do a CAST AND BLAST if any outfitter cater to that?
  14. Would love if that was the case, would kill off all the stupid anglers.
  15. BINGO, Florida anglers listen up, unless of course you are using SHINERS. Water temp has held in the mid 50s to upper 50s in most bodies of water I am fishing now, and my catch rate is LOW, VERY LOW. Hopefully this warming trend kicks start the bite, but unlike Rolo I get away from unproductive water and hunt, duck and doves for fun when the bite is slow.
  16. Want to plan a "cast and blast" trip this year, for bass, duck, and/or dove. Was wondering if anyone has been and what outfitter you recommend. International or Domestic.
  17. Not trying to discredit "The Professor" here just stating what Mr. Lusk said about catching a double digit bass and extrapolating the results. Numbers are numbers and Bob Lusk said in the video Glenn posted the chances of a bass getting to double digits is 1 in 20-25M. So if the chances of a bass making it to 10lbs or more is 1 in 20M then Doug Hannon has had a 1 in 20M chance come up 800 times correct or am I missing something? Therefore, its one of two possible outcomes as I stated according to Bob Lusk's assertion, A. Doug Hannon's a mighty lucky (skilled in my book) angler to catch 800 bass that only have about a 1 in 20-25M chance of making it that big or B. Doug did not catch 800 bass in the double digit, since the probability is so low. Seems to me that a double digit bass although rare when looking at bass fishing as a whole, is not so rare if you have access to the an environment i.e. Ocala National Forest areas and such, that Doug Hannon had/has. Nevertheless, it is quite an accomplishment, I have only one in the double digits and I have been at it pretty hard since about 5 years of age ;D and Doug Hannon is still admired by me one of the "people"
  18. Great video Glenn! Doug Hannon should start playing the lottery, cause he has caught 800+ over 10lbs and most from Florida so he has a 1 in 16,000,000,000 to do that. Either that or he is fibbing
  19. If he leaves Bama for Michigan point is further proven, its really the only reason I root against Bama even when they played the Gators and I am a NOLE. Saban is an EGO CENTRIC A--H-L-
  20. Bang for Buck=Everstart Marine Maxx or A/C Delco Top of Line=Trojan, Deka, Odyssey, Sears Die Hard Platinum (Made by Odyssey), Lifeline Most Overhyped, Best Advertised=Optima, not saying it isn't a good battery, but when compared to comprable batteries above they are overpriced IMO, unless weight is a major consideration, then Spiral Cell batteries are usually lighter. Most important thing with battery is correct maintenance, I had an AC Delco Voyager last over 7 years before I gave it away as a dump trailer battery to a neighbor Always made sure I topped it off after every use, checked battery levels, and kept it out of extreme heat or cold. RV guys are just if not more tough than us bass boat owners on batteries follow these tips
  21. Is this the perpetrator you hinted about? Looks like me after about 12:00 Midnight tonight?
  22. I have put a 14 foot Jon Boat in the back of my truck for years, sometimes its necessary when I can put it on the trailer. I hook up 3 straps and place the boat right side up on the back of the truck, making sure all the heavy objects are close to the cab or at least center around the axle. I use two straps from the truck bed to the bow of boat and one strap across the top of the stern in case it bounces or God forbid you roll the truck. Also make sure you dangle a red flag off the bow of boat so approaching motorist don't go under the boat and check your state motor vehicle laws on overhang. I had it checked out by a State Trooper, after being pulled over and he said I was legal eagle, but just to watch my speed, 80 in a 55, was in a hurry to get to my spot.
  23. If you have a Sears or Kmart around get a Die Hard Platinum Model group 34 or 31, the 34 has 880 CCA and the 31 has 1150 CCA. Here is a link: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_02850131000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=L1 They are awesome batteries, and will be on my boat next time I have to replace a battery. Made by Odyssey for Sears. If replacing an existing group 27 than get the height adapter from Odyssey. See specs below http://www.odysseyfactory.com/marinespecs.html
