I could careless, if I depended on sponsorship money to make a living then I would plug them any chance I got, especially if it kept my family and I secure financially and I had a contractual obligation. I do have a problem though with those pros who really don't believe in the product and/or actually use it. The classier pros I believe are selective and actually believe in the product and you can see and sense that. I really believe that Aaron Martens loves his Pheonix bass boat and his statements were REAL when speaking at the Classic final weigh-in this year.

How does KVD do it? He is surrounded by great fishing talent, literally fishing the same area as them and gets a bigger bag! Not sure if he has some spiritual connection or something, but he is so good that I feel like pulling for someone else just because he is too GOOD. Had a great time with Dwight, fishing day started out well, and slowed down in the middle of the day, I think we were not in the right spots though since both Dwight and I were catching DINKS, Dwight more than me of course ;D, but I had my fair share. I think we finally had them dialed in right as we were about to go home and wish we could have had another hour or two. Had a nice 4lber shake loose after catching the big one pictured (6-13) and some more 1-2lb dinks. It was a pleasure fishing with you Dwight and lets try to get back out there or the Big O soon. Outback outboards does my machine work this what he did motor started as a 1995 2.5 200efi he put 2 new sleeves cut the exhaust like a 300 drag ( ill post some pics) raised the intake ports opened the rod slots John Marls top pined my pistons I lighted and Balanced my rods and had them shot pinged I took 50thounds off my front half I removed all the flashing's from the inside of my front half and intake then glass beaded the inside my reed blocks are the 5 petal rubber coat blocks that come from a sport jet motor (very hard to find ) my reeds are from CCM Chris Carson Marine there the drag reeds my computer is a Brucatos PCU (programmable control unit ) my heads are 33cc angle cut they push 148psi cranking compression done by Outback if you look you can see i have a 1inch spacer between the intake and front half The flywheel was done by Outback also it is about 4 pound (Turns up fast ) I have a 1pice Exhaust plate with a short bell tuner and the plate is dry stacked I run the off shore midsection with the exhaust coming out above the water the lower unit is a 200 case with a bobs nose cone low water pickup torque tamer welded to the skeg and the nose has the 2deg drop for the Allison haul this motor can turn much more the 8000 RPMs but i have the limiter set at 8 grand i run 2 props on this boat 1 is a 28 hoss and the other is a 30 Allison cut chopper when you nail the gas it trows you back in the seat and pulls like a train until you lift your foot this the strongest boat i have ever set in and its 21ft long bass boat. I had a 20cc Bullet with a 260 merc and this Allison is stronger 8-) i hope i coverd every thing for you guys That's more like it, I am sure you could put that motor on a lead sled Ranger and be amazed. The light flywheel makes a HUGE difference on the hole shot. What advantage does the offshore mid section give you, is it a exhaust back pressure issue?

If the flouro is too large in diameter it is near impossible to tie a berkley braid knot, so palomar knot it is, usually you don't have to worry about flouro slipping out of hook eye with thicker flouro. As far as braid is concerned I get a nice neat barrel when I take my time cinching down the knot using the Berkley braid knot. Its really not that ugly with braid.

There was already a big spawn that took place during and after the FLW tournament, fish are spooky since everyone and their brother has been pounding them. I had a similar outing last week, where I caught plenty, but couldn't find any fish committed to beds and spooked plenty of big wakes off bedding areas. I going to try to head out next week and possibly hook up with Mike. Mike are you certain its Tuesday that you are headed out there?

ROLF when I saw those radars on a BASS BOAT! I can understand if you are open water fishing and need the radar to see where other boats/ships are and possibly spot some birds to locate bait balls, but come on Bayou navigation in the fog? I think it is a marketing ploy by the radar makers to get their product in front of a people. Too funny!

Canals and Golf Courses, St. Lucie is full of BIG OLE PIGS, so start befriending gated community residents, cause most small lakes that have BIG OLE PIGS, are on private property. Local canals are great also, google earth you location and see what you bring up.

Berkley Braid knot is tough for sure. I had better luck with this one than any other "super knot". I was a palomar fan, but lately for some reason my knots were coming through the hook eye gap, so I switched to the bulker braid knot with good results.

What is J&S? Probably will not be going now, picked up some glades trips. When people refer to J&S, they are usually referring to the S-135 lock and surrounding area. The name J&S comes from the nearby fish camp.

Capt. Shane, Man you posted this a week to late ;D! This front most likely pushed them into the mats, but as stated earlier the warming trend should have them on fire again soon. Went out last week and ended up catching about 35-50, most were in the 2lb range with a 4lb kicker, had a a HUGE blow up at the end of the day and I suspect it was a big MAMMA. What day are you planning on going? I like going out of Indian Praire or Okee-Tantie ramp which is a pretty far drive for you. I would consider the Refuge though . Also want to explore myself out of J&S since the lock is open there and Dean Rojas had a nice bag fishing the FROG bite last week there ;D

Never caught one on a fluke, but have on various topwaters where they actually striked at it. Most of the time I get it away from them, but I had a few scare the living (you know what) out of me Last month while fishing a frog bait at night I had about a 5 footer swim up rapidly behind my Spro frog and strike at it. I was perched atop my jon boat's front seat!! Foul hooked about a 6-7 footer in the thigh with a spinnerbait while fishing the Stick Marsh, that was tons of fun ;D
