  1. I've had a good experience with their customer service as well. I had a new crankbait of theirs expand and split at the seams. I've heard of this happening before from the heat but this is the first time experiencing it myself. This bait was in a Plano box in my boat's storage compartment. I emailed them and they asked me to send a pic, which I did. They promptly mailed me a new one.
  2. I didn't say bass should never be kept. I know it's vital for some lakes and overharvest. And I know it's people's rights. I just said personally I can't bring myself to eat bass.
  3. Never. I know this sounds weird, but I can't bring myself to eat them because I respect them too much. I'm 100% catch and release sport fisherman. These fish bring me so much pleasure that I just can even fathom the thought of eating them. The thought of it makes my stomach turn. And just to be clear, I'm not saying people shouldn't be eating them or anything. That's their right as long as they follow the size/limit rules.
  4. 6th Sense Crush 50x is another good one. Smaller size like the SK 1.5. Faint rattle to them and no need to upgrade the hooks.
  5. I'm so sorry to hear this, Tom. You and yours are in my thoughts. Just know that we are all family here, and I hope you continue to stick around and chat with us!
  6. Absolutely! Pretty much everything I do in my life evolves around fishing. It's my passion. And this site is a huge part of that. We appreciate you, Glenn!
  7. Waiting for someone to post the "yells at cloud" meme.
  8. Have you ever punched mats/thick pads for bass that you otherwise wouldn't be able to get to? It'd be MUCH harder to do that with a short rod and mono as opposed to a longer rod and braid. That's just one example of how things have improved over time. Now, I won't say everything has improved. Or that all the newer baits/techniques are necessary to catch fish. But anglers do have more options nowadays to help them put fish in the boat, and I don't think that's a bad thing.
  9. Everything evolves over time. Things improve. If you enjoying using what you got, that's all that matters.
  10. I have an issue with Discount Tackle. They mark their stuff way up, so when they have a sale it looks like it's some great deal, when it's really not. For example, the Rage Bug, Rage Craw etc is $5.49 at TW. At Discount Tackle, they list them for $6.99 "retail".
  11. How tight is the o-ring you're using? I don't think I've ever had a fish pull an entire Senko through the ring like you're describing.
  12. Interesting. I've had nothing but positive experience with those Kaera's. Haven't had the durability issues like you have.
  13. Kittery Trading Post. Oct. 13 & 14. 20% off when you spend $100+ 25% off when you spend $250+ 30% off when you spend $500+ Code: PSE Megabass is included.
  14. Jackall Kaera. Great smaller-sized frog.
  15. A 6'10" to 7'0" med-light/fast.
  16. Carbon color is great as well.
  17. I was gonna buy one some time back but decided against it after reading all the negative reviews on it. Sounds like you're not the only one who has horrible hook-up ratio on this bait.
  18. For the cost of these I want a "every fish on every cast" guarantee!
  19. Yeah, you aren't convincing me that this isn't a live fish.
  20. I have too much stuff in plain sight because I'm not married. ?
  21. I'm a big fan of peg boards. Like roadwarrior said, it's a good/easy way to see what you have and what needs replenishing, etc.
  22. I've had no issues with mine. I use Sniper (16#) on my Texas rig and jig rods. Haven't had any break-offs despite some hard hook-sets. And I rarely ever have to retie unless I feel some abrasion. Knots have been solid.
  23. This is what I use for my larger crankbaits, S-Waver 168, Vatalion, Gantarel Jr, Bullshad (6"), Whopper Plopper 130. https://alxrods.com/collections/ikos/products/thunder-76-x-heavy-modfast-casting
