I've never fished any version of the SLX. What makes the SLX XT a better option than the Curado 200K? I always assumed the K was the superior reel.

I have a few 200K's that I like well enough. But I like the Curado MGL 150 and 70 much more. If you want something palmable, the 70 almost disappears in your hand.

Another vote for the GOAT. I like the largest version (Billy Goat) with a 4/0 Mustad KVD Grip-Pin hook. This hook holds the bait on better than regular EWG hooks. And as others have said, the GOAT floats, which is nice.

I'm guessing with the new Curado M coming out, you'll see deals like this (or better) all over the place eventually.

Also, I know the old ones were a deep purple color. The new ones look black...at least in videos.

Yeah, they tried to get too cute. If that handle shape is so much better, how come none of their other rods have them? I think the way most anglers hold their rod (casting) they choke up to the point where they aren't really holding the rod by the handle anyways. The reel seat is what matters more...to me at least. I have a buddy who lives near Park Falls. He stopped in at the factory yesterday to hold some. He didn't care for them at all, and he loved the previous line. I guess everyone is different. Matt Allen had good things to say about them, but he also has reason to ($).

I get good bites on them, but they aren't durable, at all. Not sure if I'll buy any more. As far as the Sleeper Craw goes, I forgot I even bought some up until a few days ago. ?

Curious what you're throwing on this setup. For that diameter braid, 12# fluoro/mono is bigger than most would use. Not saying that's the issue, just saying. Tho using 6-8# leader would make a thinner knot. You don't have a nick in any of your guides, do you?

I love my Expride A's, but these new Expride B's...they're something else. And they are some of the best-looking rods out there IMO. (I love rods that looks more simple/clean)

I use the Senko for wacky rigging over Dingers for 2 reasons. The shimmy on the fall, and they weigh more/cast better. A newer stick bait I've been liking lately is the 6th Sense Clout. It has a shimmy similar to the Senko's.

I've yet to get into BFS, but I likely will at some point. I still find it hard to believe you can bomb-cast a 1/16oz TRD. And I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes. ?
